Team Obama leaks failed raid in bid to shore up image

TEAM OBAMA LEAKS FAILED RAID IN BID TO SHORE UP IMAGE

With President Obama facing increasing pressure to respond more forcefully to Islamist militants in the wake of the beheading of American journalist James Foley, the White House leaked word that the president had authorized a failed rescue mission to save Foley and other Americans hostages.

Why on earth would anyone leak that? Publicizing a failed mission hurts U.S. military clout and certainly the captors already knew about the effort. So why? The answer came later on Wednesday night when it was revealed that the administration, in keeping with longstanding U.S. policy, had declined to pay ransom for Foley’s release. The leak of the failed rescue was evidently an effort to show the president was not simply a bystander

. We’ve seen this before when the administration, long scorned by journalists for its clampdown on reporters, starts getting very leaky on national security when the president is jammed up politically. Remember the “kill list” and the lavish details on the killing of Usama bin Laden?

This can only lead to questions about how much it failed, how it failed, were lives lost, injured, money spent, equipment lost in the hands of the enemy, etc...

Only thing the release of a failed raid did in my mind was confirm this administration is even more incompetent then first thought. Plus to boast that at least you tried is even sicker is no extra points in my mind because it failed.
Who in their right mind boast about a FAILURE. He has opened up our military to even more possible harm by letting this little cat out of the bag!

How does a failed mission bolster his reputation, except as an incompetent boob?

0bama is starting to make Biden look smart.

I wish they would shut the blank up, about what we have done, or might do.

Keep the bad guys guessing.

The bad guys are laughing at us, laughing at another beheading and laughing at our ineptitude in this alleged rescue mission.

If ISIS didn’t TWEET it, it didn’t happen.

It doesn’t help his image with serious people, but remember his biggest problem right now is the deterioration of his base. Lefties believe that all that matters is the intention to do well. With that crowd, this probably helps.

On top of that, they thought imitating Jimmy Carter failure was an ‘upgraded’ image for Obama. At the very least, Carter did not golf after giving a lukewarm statement, did he?

To tell his idiot base ‘see we tried so hard to save him’. They don’t care about the overall dangers of ISIS. Only emotion about seeing an American journalist losing his head.

Now they are assured Obama tried.

He probably learned of the rescue attempt in today’s paper as with all of his other scandals.

I’m willing to bet this is yet another lie by the administration. It never happened. We need to speak with the Special Forces member who was shot during the attack.

Huh? Have we run out of high-level terrorist prisoners to swap?

So what about some operational security!!!

What’s going to happen when those terrorists find out who sourced that information. There’s a reason why that mission was classified. So now the terrorists are going to ask themselves... “who thought that those prisoners were being held there?!” The answer will have his head on a spike next.

This is the reason why we cant get good information out of that region. This administration Cannot be trusted.
