ended up coming across four backpacks filled with bulk cash and a little more than a kilo of cocaine Probably more to the story than this.
The cholos didn't just set the goods down and go get a burger.

This must be photoshop. The border has never been more secure. Harry Reid said so.
And just think... This is only the stuff they found.

The grenades are traceable. Itll be SO interesting to see who provided them. My bet is Uncle Sam via some foreign mil aid program. The elephant in the room is that our own govt cant keep track of all the weapons/ammo they ‘lose’ either out right or via ‘military aid’. Our govt is a danger and embarrassment.

Sigh. I wish I coulda been the one to stumble across that. I could use a cash infusion.

20 rounds of .50 BMG ammo? Street value of about $100. I’ve seen it at garage sales.

Finding poor Mexicans and Guatemalans sneaking across the boarder: no profit = zero priority.
$650,000 backpack = full enforcement at top priority (unless the mordita is paid on both sides of the border).

The elephant in the room is that our own govt cant keep track of all the weapons/ammo they lose either out right or via military aid. Our govt is a danger and embarrassment. I've been watching the old "X Files" reruns on Netflix instant view (all nine seasons are there now). It's amazing, watching the episodes with Mulder and Scully attempting to testify to the truth before a Senate Committee, what a sham it all was - of course, at the closing, you see the Committee head in his office, handing all of the incriminating files over to "The Smoking Man", who nonchalantly tosses them into the trash.
Who knew at the time how prescient that show was?
