No, laws can’t and don’t make people moral. Morality comes from God and is internal.

Laws can only work from the outside and they can’t even change a person, as the number of people who blatantly flaunt them demonstrate.

What they do is provide for justice and protection when those without morals engage in immoral activity. When done right, it provides for a peaceful and safe society.

I’m 65 years old and neither drink nor do drugs. What’s interesting about a child is they typically cannot refute the words of an opponent but must turn to ad hominem attacks.

All I’ve done is accurately quote Reagan on libertarianism as it relates to conservatism and I’m not backing up an inch on that. Your frustration is you have no way to alter a syllable of his words. In your frustration you attack me because you simply don’t know what else to do. A sober grown-up would know what to do. Maybe one day you’ll figure it out. I have my doubts.
