Stupid, yes. But only to us and our worldview.
It shows that we’ve reached a point with identity politics where community leaders like Sharpton can say stuff like this, publicly, and not be challenged on it.
In the event that the physical evidence exonerates the cop, precluding any sort of prosecution, Sharpton’s words and the complete lack of any alternative to them being presented to his target audience virtually guarantees more violence, rioting and bloodshed.
It’s not, I think, going to work out as they expect it to. I don’t think the rest of the population has reached the point where threats of further riots/violence can successfully be used as coercion. At least in a broad sense (wimps like Gov. Nixon excepted). If anything, I’d expect the rest of the public to be increasingly fed up with it, giving rise to an increasing “bring it, a**holes” mentality.
Da Rev should remember that he who seeks revenge should dig two graves.
Food for thought.
Of all the the thirty or so nearby municipalities around Ferguson, less than five are run by black police chiefs.

My son did this at age 44.(Long story)
.
You know what is sad?
The requirements to enter many of the academies are not the same to be a police officer thereby creating a glut of substandard candidates they know will be hired by substandard police agencies.
And there are more than a few agencies in that area who cannot and will not do a thorough background check on their applicants.
I know and throw in Affirmative Action, military hardware and a lack of common sense and you have a mess.
