A former employer of ours did something along those lines back in the 1990s. We paid a “management fee” to our US parent that was equal to our earnings, so on paper we barely broke even.

Off topic—but how is Stintz dropping out likely to affect your mayoral race?

1968 - Draftees who fled to Canada to avoid having to serve in Vietnam are praised as men of strong principle and national heroes by those on the Left.

2014 - Corporations who flee to Canada to avoid having to pay absurd corporate taxes are accused of being traitors and deserters by those on the Left.

Absurd or what???

Hard to say yet. Most pundits are expecting her 4% to go to Tory, but her platform was almost identical to Ford’s. The only sure bet is that her supporters won’t go with Chow.

Right now it’s still Tory’s to lose, but anything can happen because it’s so close. My biggest fear is that Mrs. Jack Layton still has a shot at winning due to the Ford/Tory voter split. Tory is regarded as acceptable to most Ford supporters (but not this one), so there will probably be a lot of strategic voting.

Expect most of the interesting stuff to happen after Labour Day, the traditional start of serious campaigning here.

The transaction is being financed by the Obama awarded medal of freedom recipient, the Omaha oracle himself, multibillionaire, Warren Buffet.

Also, since they’ll be reducing their effective tax rate substantially, they are paying ol Warren 9%. Course that’s deductible, too.
Course Warren’s gonna kick major loads back to liberals here in the USA.
