The ceasefire gives Netanyahu and Israel some time to plan something particularly punitive in the event (when!) it is broken.

If nothing else, a time to heal and regroup , re-arm and get ready for the next round..

Now, folks get a taste of the old days way back when..

The Holy Land Saga continues, after a brief intermission.

I loathe the media in this country making Israel, the only damned country in the middle east where women are treated with respect look like the bad guuys in this whole conflict....

Israel who was attacked by mutliple countries at the SAME time and fought them back valiantly and even GAVE LAND BACK after pushing back those who attacked them...

I tell you what if I was running Israel after the 1967 war I would have held on to ALL of the land captured from the jerks that decided to gang up on me, but that is just me.

I hate to say it but I don’t see our current administration doing anything except to try to destroy israel...

Pray for Israel and her safety.

While ham-ass clearly needs to re-load, have some time with cease-fire bennies, before they start firing rockets again to break this “permanent” cease fire, Israel too might need to restock Iron Dome, give the reserves a break, give the public a short time (week? two?) outside the shelters.

IMHO...that's nonsense.

Netanyahu's going to be too preoccupied with keeping his government together.

Bibi's a lot of wonderful rhetoric. But methinks he's traded the fire in his belly for a starring role on the world's stage.

Israel may need a change at the top.

That is certainly true.

There is more.

This ceasefire is essentially the Egyptian Plan, which gives Hamas nothing for all the misery they have caused Gaza and humiliates Hamas in the eyes of the Gaza residents.

It also gives the the residents of Gaza a break from the war which lets them become accustomed to the lack of fighting. At the same time, they get to take stock of the destruction of Gaza to date which Hamas has caused them.

The combination is killing support and driving resentment and anger for Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The goal is to eliminate Hamas’s control of Gaza and this cease fire furthers that goal.
