Doom & gloom? All spending originates in the House. They could stop the nonsense right now. $17T deficit, immigration, Social Security liquidity, Medicare, politicised IRS, EPA mandates, ACA & healthcare public rape,University tuition and student loans, etc., etc.. Tell me what the GOP has done for you lately.

The GOP could have had the Senate in 08 if they cared to support Sharoh Angle & Christine O’Donnell. Didn’t support Joe Miller in AK either. Dream on for a conservitive revival once they control the Senate along with the House.

Locally, we dumped Cantor. Think the Big Tent GOP cared for that one?

You are rewriting history. It is now very apparent O'Donnell and Angle were poor candidates. Angle lost by 10 points and I think O'Donnell lost in a landslide, 15 points plus. Nothing could have helped them. Actually, I think the O'Donnell race was in 2010 which was a stellar year for Republicans. She couldn't even manage a close race in a year that Republicans made historic gains on ballots across the country from top to bottom.

In Angle's defense, it is super tough to beat an incumbent Senator who happens to be majority leader. And to be fair, Delaware is a very blue state, too, but that state was winnable with a candidate the voters deemed qualified. If the voters in Delaware judged her unqualified (which they did), blame her. It is her responsibility to communicate and develop a rapport with the voters - good candidates do exactly that.

The money and support that the RNC provides helps around the margins - it does not help make up huge vote deficits. It is alot of money to spend to help around the edges, but in close races they make a difference.

By the way, I did want to let you know congratulations in dumping Cantor. As anyone who can barely breathe knows, the republican leadership needs a massive turnover, which does not appear to be happening amongst themselves, so it looks like they need outright defeat at the polls (which won't happen). My guess is that McConnell and Boehner will need to retire before anything happens, so maybe they will get the message and retire before 2016 elections. On the other hand, Boehner will get all the votes from the conservatives on Jan. 2, 2015 to keep him as Speaker.
