Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said Sunday that President Obamas inertia on whether to launch airstrikes on Islamic State targets in Syria is part of an overall foreign policy failure that is empowering China, North Korea, Russia and other rival nations.
Its all related, Rogers, R-Mich., told Fox News Sunday." The world sees the United States as withdrawn.
Rogers said the presidents apparent disengagement or slow response is the reason China has engaged U.S. pilots and Russian President Vladimir Putin has moved into eastern Ukraine without fear of consequence.
U.S. foreign policy is in free fall, he said. Traditional allies are saying maybe the United States is not the best to lead us.
The president faces a big test later this week when he travels to Europe for a NATO summit where he hopes to build a coalition to stop Islamic State, the terror group formerly known as ISIS, and other militant groups in the Middle East.
Rogers told Fox News he doesnt believe White House Press Secretary Josh Ernest when he said last week that military options are still being developed.

The next Ping driver is more important to Obama than the American people’s security
China has taken what remnants of the democracy Hong Kong was promised away. The commies will chose the “candidates” in the next “election”. That another diplomatic victory for the great won.

- “Well, “’WE” have no strategy
- What is all this “WE” bullshiite? - You are going to go “PLAY” golf - People are going to “DIE” -

The world stage is no place to try out this affirmative action crap!
Not true at all. He is not the least bit interested in building any coalitions; if he was he already could have made progress toward doing this. He is stalling. The only thing this POS is hoping for is disengagement and the further weakening of U.S. influence in the world.
The UK and France are taking the lead on ISIS, Obama is irrelevant.
It’s part of his strategy to empower the screaming bearded savages who hate this country, just like he does.
This weekend I actually heard some diehard liberals I know condeming Obama for his complete failure to deal with ISIS, among other things. I don’t think they’re suddenly going to swing conservative, but they were clearly and sincerely agitated at the dangerous direction Obama is taking us. Not saying there’s a significant shift, but there are some cracks in the wall.
They think Hillary would deal with ISIS better than Obama.
“....an overall foreign policy failure ....”
It’s not a failure if the results are as Obama intends them to be.
Her name didn’t come up but that could well be. The one hopeful take-away from this conversation was that waning Dem enthusiasm could impact the November elections. I don’t see much excitment on their side and this could lead to a low voter turnout.
On page 261 of the paperback edition of Audacity of Hope Obama wrote: I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
“On page 261 of the paperback edition of Audacity of Hope Obama wrote: I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
And the cowards in the MSM won’t ask the simple question,”Mr. President, the winds are shifting in an ugly direction in the Mideast and you are not taking action. Is that because you are standing with the muslims?”
That will set off a political firestorm never seen before.
So far the Sultan has no foreign policy failures. Everything is going quite nicely and if he can restrain America a little while longer then it will cease to be a hindrance to world peace under the Caliphate.
Some days FR needs a “LIKE” button to some responses.
What gave them a hint? Benghazi? Ukraine? Arab Spring? ISIS? "No Strategy"? China taking over the far East? Really, how did our 'allies' figure it out?
