Manila says it ordered its troops to fight back and escape, instead of surrendering to the Syrian Islamists as the UN wished

The Filipinos, occupying two UN camps, refused and fought the rebels on Saturday. A first group of 35 peacekeepers was then successfully escorted out of one camp by Irish and Filipino forces in armored vehicles.
The remaining 40 peacekeepers were besieged at the second camp by more than 100 gunmen who rammed the camp’s gates with their trucks and fired mortar rounds. The Filipinos returned fire in self-defense, Philippine military officials said.
Then, the UN is run by the enemy. That place needs to have every single occupant deported and the building razed. Use eminent domain, build a useless street right through where it sits and get rid of all of the people in that building.
Why would anyone with a gun surrender to ISIS? Surrender and get beheaded is not the better of two evils. I am of the if they are going to kill you anyway take as many of them down first as you can school.

The UN wanted them to surrender so that the UN could broker their release...and pocket the commission for brokering the deal.
whats astounding is there was no news coverage of the fat that ISIS attacked the UN, rammed the gate w a truck, etc etc, and these guys had to fight there way out. you would think attacking the UN peacekeepers would make the news.
Well, that’s certainly true.
In this case, however, you’d think even the UN wouldn’t be dumb enough to expect these “peacekeepers” to calmly hand themselves over for beheading.
