Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a threat to outgoing European Commission President Jose Manual Barroso that he could "take Kiev in two weeks" if he wanted, Italian media reports have said.
According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the Russian leader made the belligerent statement in a phone call with the outgoing EU leader, who is set to be replaced by Luxembourg's former prime minister Jean-Claude Juncker...

If you think Putin is insane enough to seek the permanent destruction of Russia, then you guys are really supporting a man that even you think is insane, personally I don’t see a man who has stolen up to 70 billion dollars, as someone who won’t straighten up when he realizes that the world isn’t going to let him keep invading nations.
Russia is no match for NATO and the free world, and is only pushing to get away with whatever they can get easily.

This isn’t your daddy’s Cold War. The Russians have been MODERNIZING with WESTERN HELP while we’ve been LGBT’ing. It’s a lot better for us to NOT expose just how unprepared we are to fight a modernized army, as we still have China to deal with.

I’m thinking we just give our guys modern winter uniforms and have the euros behind us. Convincing the Germans to join the force to invade will be easy. The average German is totally warlike again. I really don’t know why we didn’t think of it earlier.
Hey, you support Putin, and want to try and pretend that to oppose his invasions, is somehow ‘cornering the bear’ and forcing him, to do what exactly? Invade more countries?
What I’ve gathered over the past few weeks is, since some of us here believe that Ukraine “belongs” to Russia (or that it is Russia’s “backyard”), any move to support or defend Ukraine is an attack on the Russians.
