Mine is set to kick on a short time after power is lost (it’s a matter of a minute or two, I can’t recall).
It fires itself up every Monday morning and test-runs for ten minutes, as per maintenance recommendations.
You can set them to run strictly on a manual basis though.
“Even with good news you just cant cheer some folks up!”
So all of this “cheered you up?”
Please, please, don't encourage me.
If I remember correctly you are something of a gourmet, and it was all I could do to restrain myself from talking about quality cooking and "Eaton" even when the power was out!
"...no circumstances, however dismal, will ever be considered a sufficient excuse for the admission of that last and saddest evidence of intellectual poverty, the Pun."
So saith the late great Samuel Clemens, and I try to remind myself of that at least one time a day, and sometimes twain.
I agree.. the dems needn’t worry. Majority status and all its accompanying responsibilities are daunting to the GOP.
I wouldn’t be so worried.
After the RINOs finish off the rest of the Tea Partiers, enough of them will stay home for the Dhimmocrats to make a decent enough showing.
That’s neat.
Makes life a lot easier when the power goes off.
And the self test is a nice feature too.
Carter was ahead of Reagan 8 weeks out.
Yes and at the time I bought the price seemed surprisingly reasonable...close to the combined price of the two smaller (7500w and 3500w) gasoline generators I had purchased in previous years.
Owing to your interest I went to check on prices now and a similar model seems about 50% higher than it was a few years ago.
I own a Generac for my primary residence. Nothing’s more reassuring to hear it come on the moment a blackout begins.
Do you service yours once a year, oil, filters etc?
I haven’t used mine much and skipped last year. Some of the stuff is so compact in there that I don’t want to screw with it; the company who sold it to me gets a pretty high price, especially since I live 150 miles out.
It's a witch!
The glass is half empty crowd...
Good polling group -spotted the big wave in 1994 months before anyone else knew it was coming.....
Well one thing I’ve been thinking. In the latest poll Oberwiess is only 6 points behind Durbin. In the IL governor race Rainer is 17 points ahead of Quinn. If Illinois is now on the table this very well could be a wave. For some reason that pisses some folks off around here.
Yes, I do the yearly maintenance. Last year was my first time, since I bought the home the year before. Discovered the previous owner had done virtually no maintenance on the system, so my bill was a bit higher than usual. This year should be a routine visit, so my total bill will be about $125.
Shoot, they hit me for $400+.
But the man they sent out did tell me that once every couple years would be good, barring prolonged use.
I’m with you.
