Public schools increasingly are little more than training centers for prison. We can thank the teacher's unions and the Supreme Court throwing God out of them 50 years ago for that.

But we also shouldn't forget the long term influence of the Great Society, Progressive politicians, and public unionization which has turned once vibrant urban landscapes into moral and economic wastelands.

There's lots of blame to go around for "Ferguson", and the list could be much longer than the above given reasons.

The Unions ARE ALSO leftists...so, yes, they’re included in the whole mix ;-)

as long as the rooms are warm in the winter, the toilets work and the roof doesn’t leak

And even then, such conditions could provide the most intelligent and learned students that ever lead society.

That indeed is a major part, tied to a basically lazy, selfish, low motivation Africanized culture.

I know they can do better. When I was a kid, Black families may have been poor but they knew that work and education were their key to improve. Back then many of our rural blacks had beautiful gardens, now none. Most also had a real Dad at home, damn few now. Thanks LBJ!

I love that painting! It reminds me of pics - and stories - my dad and granddad had, or told of their one room school....right down to the lunch pails hanging on the wall ;-)

He’s a 6’3” gentle giant of a boy-—his mom said she NEVER saw a hint of aggressiveness in the boy-—except when he hit high notes while singing in the church choir.

He visited homeless shelters and delivered food baskets to senior shut-ins in his spare time.....(sniffle)

The blond-haired boy (second kid in the middle row) appears to be texting.

Yep, there are all kinds represented in that picture. Ted Cruz the kid just in front of the teacher; Sarah in the row in front of him.
