Meet The Press moderator Chuck Todd said Wednesday that President Barack Obama is “on the precipice of doing Jimmy Carter-like damage to the [Democratic] Party.” Todd’s remarks, made on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” came ahead of Obama’s Wednesday night address to the nation about the dangers of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Obama’s weakness on ISIS thus far, Todd explained, has done some real damage to the president’s approval rating.
“It’s not just him. It actually is impacting the entire Democratic Party,” Todd said. “We did some issue testing between who better handles which issues: Democrats or Republicans? Took out Obama. Republicans lead by 38 points on the issue of ensuring a strong national defense. 38! He’s on the precipice of doing Jimmy Carter-like damage to Democratic brand on foreign policy, if he’s not careful.”
But in this case, Todd continued, Obama’s “not trying to rally the nation. The nation’s wanting him to come to his side. So he’s in an easy moment if he can step up on something he said he doesn’t like doing, which is the theater of the presidency. He needs to have a strong performance in the theater of the presidency tonight, because the country seems to be demanding it, they’re almost, they’re begging him.”
“And the moment is these beheadings,” Todd emphasized. “One of the things that we found in this poll. Think about all the controversial stories we’ve covered in the last five years. This is the single most-followed story in the past five years.”

This spin is really grating on me lately. The guy is all theater, no substance.
They like to say that Reagan (a president with a dynamic grasp on the geopolitical realities of his time and an understanding of how to advance American goals in that arena) was just a good speaker, but Obama's too intellectual for us, the simple people, to grasp.
When the teleprompter displays something intelligent, Obama knows how to read it with panache. But, in reality, Obama's a clueless jackass who's never had a thought as deep as his wife's footprints.

The good news is that the people who live in this country still worship and adore Barry because he is “black”. It’s his policies, agendas, lies, thieving and everything else he does that they really hate. Everybody loves Barry. The ‘RATS are trying to label him with their “big lovable lug” label they used so successfully to pull Slick Willie’s chestnuts out of the fire.

I really don’t know if this is true...the American people proved that they were morons when they reelected this guy. My gut tells me that they will happily vote for the next moron who runs in 2016.
Also, in Carter's day you didn't have to lap up all of the pro-abortion, Marxist, anti-gun ideology in order to be at home on the Democrat side of the aisle. Today is drastically different - and the groupthink protects Obama.

Chuck Todd missed it. Former US Senator Barack Obama has already done Jimmy Carter-like damage to the entire country, and he passed that high threshold years ago. The fact that the Democrat party is suffering because they supported Obama's destructive policies is no more than they deserve.
