Hollywood actor James Woods issued a call on Twitter for U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder to investigate Saturday’s mob attack at Kroger in which the assailants were black and two of three injured victims were white. “This is a direct challenge to Eric Holder: Are you, Sir, going to Memphis, TN to address the Kroger racial hate crime? #holderchallenge,” Woods wrote Tuesday in a message that was retweeted more than 4,500 times. I love James Woods.......he’s fearless in his opinions. I think he’s just jerking the jerk in the AG’s office around knowing full well that hate crimes only go one way......and it ain’t gonna happen. But maybe the request will get enough attention to get some of the brain-dead mouth breathers in this country to think about it......(no they won’t).

Woods ultimately chose to pursue his undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he majored in political science[8] (though he originally planned on a career as an eye surgeon). While at MIT, Woods pledged to Theta Delta Chi Fraternity. He was also an active member of the student theatre group “Dramashop” where he both acted in and directed a number of plays. In order to pursue a career in acting, he dropped out of MIT in 1969 before his graduation.[9] Woods has said that he became an actor thanks to Tim Affleck (father of actor Ben Affleck), who was a stage manager at the Theatre Company of Boston while Woods was a student there.
