The Democrats’ leader in the House, California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, is either dishonest, drunk, or losing her mind.
Soopermexican caught this tweet from Pelosi, which he calls “brutal stupidity.”

As the multimillionaire Pelosi surely knows, individuals and corporations (which are artificial people under the law) can change their addresses and thereby change their tax burdens. It happens every day. I know that from personal experience. I moved from high-tax Maryland to low-tax Texas a few years back and gave myself a very nice raise and bought a bigger house than I’d had up north even though my salary at the time didn’t change much. Dollars go farther in Texas than they do in California, in part because Texas doesn’t tax its citizens violently and with prejudice. That’s why so many of Pelosi’s fellow Californians and their companies are fleeing her state for Texas. It happens every day.
So, brutal stupidity. Or she’s just lying to her low-information voter base. Or she’s drunk or has lost her mind and is raving crazy loony tunes nuts. You make the call.

The Daily Caller has a video clip of Pelosi saying this to Bill Maher.
“It would be very important for the Democrats to retain control of the Senate,” Pelosi told Maher. “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate.”
Pelosi says this at a time when the Islamic State really does threaten civilization, Putin really does threaten Europe, and let’s not forget Iran and its nuclear ambitions. And the president she supports isn’t doing anything effective against any of it.
Those things really do threaten civilization. Republicans taking the Senate…nah. It’s happened before, and the republic still stands.
Yeah she’s simply nuts.
She might be a woman. She might be human. She is definitely insane.
Might be??
She is a professional liar, like all ivory-tower cRats.
There is no requirement for intelligence or honesty in her job since there is NO accountability. So she is free to act any way she wants, with impunity. And she does.
So might Boxer, Reid, and Wasserman-Schultz, for that matter.
A lot of politicians are high-functioning psychopaths. No political party puts them on a pedestal like the Democrats.
The people of her district should be ashamed of themselves. That district is living proof that some people should not be allowed to vote.
Nothing to do with neurochemistry, though.
Just the way upper class folks get as they age.
It’s one thing to be an air headed lib, but when she exempted the international company in which her husband had stock from minimum wages and said “pass the bill to see what’s in it,” she should have been removed from the chamber in cuffs.

I await the final bell when a new broom sweeps all the muck and slime from government and societal portals. NanFran and her coven will be imprisoned for life. That will be a day to cheer the return of sanity and morality to our great nation.

Maryland couldn't balance its budget last year (2008), so the state tried to close the shortfall by fleecing the wealthy. Politicians in Annapolis created a millionaire tax bracket, raising the top marginal income-tax rate to 6.25%. And because cities such as Baltimore and Bethesda also impose income taxes, the state-local tax rate can go as high as 9.45%. Governor Martin O'Malley, a dedicated class warrior, declared that these richest 0.3% of filers were "willing and able to pay their fair share." The Baltimore Sun predicted the rich would "grin and bear it."One year later, nobody's grinning. One-third of the millionaires have disappeared from Maryland tax rolls. In 2008 roughly 3,000 million-dollar income tax returns were filed by the end of April. This year there were 2,000, which the state comptroller's office concedes is a "substantial decline." On those missing returns, the government collects 6.25% of nothing. Instead of the state coffers gaining the extra $106 million the politicians predicted, millionaires paid $100 million less in taxes than they did last year -- even at higher rates.
Gee, I wonder what happened to those 1,000 millionaires?
