That figures! This world is insane! Come Lord Jesus!

I was thinking about this the other day. What the heck is wrong with these parents! Well I figured it out at least a little.

The first problem as I see it is everyone is obsessed with stuff. Women wait forever to have a baby because they want other stuff. Then they have the baby and because they want more stuff, they stick the baby in day care. The day care may be good or bad, but it's not mommy.

Because people wait to long to have kids, they only have a few. Then they want to make sure the kid has all the stuff. So more work and less time tending to the actual kid. They then pin all their hopes and dreams on this one poor kid and over schedule and clear every hurtle so that this one little angel can grow up and get lots more stuff.

I had this talk with some people. It is their stuff they are worried about. Cars, houses, vacations, clothes. Women will tell me well we can't afford more kids. Oh? I say! I know lots of big families, they have lots of kids and the kids have less pressure on them. There is not a perpetual spotlight on them. They are not constantly under the pressure of parental expectations. They are not afraid to try things. They are not afraid to fail. More kids, less stuff! Yes, might have to buy used cars and wear used clothes, but those families have much more than stuff!

Bottom line: creating a basis for decriminalizing violations of the law so that incarceration for breaking the law will have no negative connotations with one’s neighbors.

Schools have become Nazi concentration camps. Even kindergarten students are arrested, yes, arrested, for minor issues.

In the United Socialist Nanny States Of Big-Guv only the government is allowed to help the needy and feed the hungry.

Children must be taught from Day-1 that they must look to government, not each other, to fill their needs.

Cheese sandwiches are given to the kids whose lunch bill hasn’t been paid yet.

Good for Bradford. My comment for and to the school authorities would get me banned.

Me too,

Accounts are convenient and are preferable to always trying to have small amounts of cash on hand to give your child every morning. Also less chance of someone beating them up to steal their lunch money. And they can’t use the money to buy cigarettes.

Our parents did it. I happen to think that everything is so convenient now that we don't even think. We don't plan. We don't care as long as it does not distract form the computer or the phone or the tv or you name it.

I guess going to the bank to get small bills for our kids lunches is not convenient.

As for getting your lunch money stolen and getting beat up or buying cigarettes, well that used to be part of growing up. I am shocked that any one leaves home ever anymore.

Like eating a pop tart into the shape of a gun? We are stupid people being governed by even stupider people. We are stupid because we are letting it happen. What will be our tea party moment?

I am sure that school boards every where are really glad I do not have kids! If I did and had to send them to public schools, you all would know this FACE! I'd be all over Fox News!

There are still plenty of k-8 schools around, in rural or remote areas, and private or religious schools in more populated areas. “Trinity Alps Unified School District” sounds like a remote, mountain school district to me.

Our parents used to line up at the bank on payday to get enough cash for the week before the bank closed for the weekend. They used to write physical checks at the grocery store and had gas station charge cards.

Yes, convenience with money is convenient.

"We have a policy that prohibits students from exchanging meals."

There's no reason for it. It's just our policy.

Morons.

I would like to see the school handbook.

Ha! That's a classified document. Only duly sworn members of the Liberati and Union members are allowed to access that tome.

“Parents obsess over allergies these days and tell EVERYONE about them. So I am pretty sure a 13/14 year old would know whether or not be was allergic to a chicken burrito!”

There was a case in Texas last year where a girl was at some type of retreat and the snack someone brought in was popcorn balls or rice treats. She took one and bit into it and immediately spat it out as she tasted the peanuts. She died.

Yes I know. They actually had to think about how much they would need and could afford to spend. I know most of still do this but I see all to often that kids have no clue what money is. They really don't get the process of how money works. My friends are finding out that kids don't think money grows on trees, they think it just magically appears on little plastic cards. Call me a neanderthal, but life has become full of conveniences so much so I think it cheapens everything.

When you have school kids that will bring guns to class and kill dozens, then it stands to reason that some kid may bring a tainted lunch to school and trade with someone they may want to harm. I can understand the no lunch swapping policy.

That's tragic! A parent did not educate their child. So we must ban all rice treats and popcorn balls? Right?

For everything there is going to be one tragedy. So when we get done banning everything that might make someone in the population sick or die. Then what?

...hygiene issues also come into play ...

because nothing says "good hygiene" like millions of disease infested 3rd world invaders dumped in our schools.

And remember kids, "sharing" is prohibited unless your "fair share" is contributed at gun point to your friendly gub'mint agent.

"starving"

The various and constant food drives to "stamp out hunger in America" is a huge fraud. Unless their parents are deliberately starving them (and that unfortunately happens at times), no child in America is going hungry.

When I hear those ads with some guy whining about all the hungry people in the country (one in five according to the hoaxers), it's all I can do to start screaming WHERE ARE THE HUNGRY PEOPLE!!! My blood pressure goes sky high as well.
