Did You Know That the Emperor Nero Engaged in Two Public Same Sex Marriages?

Posted on 09/22/2014 8:39:03 AM PDT by ComtedeMaistre

This article has an interesting account from the Roman Empire, that will enable you to understand what will happen to America when the gay agenda seizes 100 control:

http://www.fgfbooks.com/Turner-Craig/2013/Turner130323.html

".....But our most detailed images of homosexual marriages come from the descriptions of Roman emperors. Nero, a depraved first-century emperor, married at least two men. He wed Pythagoras in a formal same-sex wedding by first putting on a bridal veil that made Nero the "bride" and Pythagoras the "groom." Every symbol of a classical marriage was present at this ceremony: a dowry, marriage bed, torches, and witnesses. Tacitus, the great Roman historian who records the event, even alludes to the fact that Nero engaged in coitus with the man in front of all the guests, stating that "everything was public which even in a natural union is veiled by night....."

How about that? A leader of a country engages in a public same sex marriage, and then has sex in public in front of the wedding guests.

In many gay pride parades in America, some gays expose themselves, and have oral sex in full view.

Same sex marriage will soon be legal in 50 states. Do you think that will satisfy the powerful satanists pushing the gay agenda? No. Nothing will satisfy them, except the complete humiliation of America.

We may one day see an American president engaging in a gay marriage, preferably in his second term. America will become a global laughing stock, and that will be the end of America as a nation. By then, practicing traditional Christianity will be a crime.

My very liberal world history teacher once taught me that the Roman empire declined, in part, because of rampant homosexuality.

Just three decades ago, people of all political persuasions agreed that is was a perversion.

A Nero resides at 1600 Pa. Ave. NW Washington DC even as we speak.

Another Roman Emperor who engaged in a public same sex marriage was Elagabalus:

http://www.fgfbooks.com/Turner-Craig/2013/Turner130323.html

“.....Another emperor who “married” men was Elagabalus, who ascended the throne in A.D. 218 after a substantial bribe was offered by his powerful grandmother(.....)The emperor’s first “husband” was a blond slave named Hierocles. Elagabalus was described as being “delighted to be called the mistress, the wife, the queen of Hierocles.” In addition to playing sado-masochistic games with Hierocles, Elagabalus pretended to be a prostitute out in public, offering himself naked to random pedestrians in the palace or prostituting himself in the brothels and taverns of Rome.

The Augustan History states, “He set aside a room in the palace and there committed his indecencies, always standing nude at the door of the room, as the harlots do, and shaking the curtain which hung from gold rings, while in a soft and melting voiced he solicited passers-by.”....”

I do not care how liberal you may be. How can you not read the behavior of the Roman Emperor Elagabalus, and not see Satanic influence. What if this happened to America in the future? The Lincoln Bedroom could become a brothel.

My very liberal world history teacher once taught me that the Roman empire declined, in part, because of rampant homosexuality.

The problem with this theory is that Nero killed himself in 68 AD. "Rome," the western empire, fell in 476, more than four centuries later. It's difficult to draw a logical effect from a cause more than 400 years earlier.

It's like blaming the collapse of the US on something King James I did.

The greatest days of the empire were well after Nero.

It should also be remembered that the Roman "historians" apparently made stuff up with great freedom. Nero was almost certainly a bad man and emperor, but it's unlikely he's guilty of everything he has been accused of.

The difference is that then, Nero’s antics didn’t affect much outside the city limits of Rome. Nowadays, our decadent emperor hiccups and the whole world gets Ebola.

BTW, King James was apparently a little light in the loafers himself, if you get my drift.

One man, Nero, being sinful doesn’t destroy the empire. When a large segment of the population is sinful and celebrates it, that is when the empire is falling.

We are at that latter stage

But King James was did not have a public same sex marriage. He kept his relationship with the Duke of Buckingham private. King James was also married to a Danish Queen.

Ah, but the “Mark/Number of the Beast, 666” was the numeric code (in the “authored” language alphabet of Revelations, if you subscribe to that particular theory) for Nero Caesar.

In dealing with the accounts of Roman emperors you have to take some of it with a bit of skepticism. We can only rely on a very small sampling of very biased contemporary writers. The contemporary histories we have access to were the political propaganda of its time. These writers were not above delving into personal slander. Sometimes their objective was to savage previous emperors in order to show how great the current one is, especially if those past emperors were from rival families. Nero was despised for his affinity for Greek culture over Roman culture. A lot of the tales about him were exaggerated to get across the point of the superiority of the Roman over the Greek.

Yeah, that sounds great. Nero did it, so its okay for us did it. Let’s also cut off our ears because Van Gogh cut off his. Let’s attack the ocean because Caligula did. Who actually thinks that Nero’s actions are a reason for a civilization to take up vile practices? This is like saying the because the Aztecs sacrificed people, so must also start sacrificing people. At least the sacrifice thing made sense at a certain level.
