Issa: Good Riddance to Holder, 'Most Divisive' Attorney General in US History
Breitbart.com ^ | 25 September 2014 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 09/26/2014 5:27:24 AM PDT by Rockitz

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said in a statement about Attorney General Eric Holder's resignation that Holder “abused his office” and “failed to uphold the values of our Constitution."

“Eric Holder is the most divisive U.S. Attorney General in modern history, and in a vote supported by 17 Democratic House members, has the dubious historic distinction of being the first attorney general held in criminal contempt by the U.S. House of Representatives,” Issa said in his statement, adding:

Time and again, Eric Holder administered justice as the political activist he describes himself as, instead of an unbiased law enforcement official. By needlessly injecting politics into law enforcement, Attorney General Holder’s legacy has eroded more confidence in our legal system than any attorney general before him. Through strong-arming reporters, practically ignoring high level wrongdoing, blocking his own agency Inspector General’s access to information, and overseeing a Department that attempted to stonewall congressional oversight with denials of what is now established fact, Attorney General Holder abused his office and failed to uphold the values of our Constitution. While President Obama and the Senate should work expeditiously to find a replacement, time and care must be taken to ensure that our next attorney general recognizes and does not repeat Mr. Holder’s mistakes.

And now the RATS will try to ram another crook through the Senate before the elections.

Perfect timing actually. Now he can get through his coming indictment with a conviction and still get an executive pardon from his buddy, Zero.

If you read his bio, there is nothing outstanding there that is much different than hundreds of others in the law profession...other than he advised Obozo during his election campaign. He leaves in disgrace with the honor of being the only cabinet member in history to have contempt charges filed against him. He bailed because he took a hard look at the huge fan in front of him and the hundreds of people carrying buckets behind the fan, all reaching for the switch. He not only was horrible at his job, he slinks away from responsibility for his actions, tail between his legs, showing the same cowardice and arrogance reflected in his boss. Good riddance.

No need. Even if all the Dems are voted out in November they can vote in another crook in their lame duck session.

That's gonna be a tough sell in a GOP Senate.

...values of our Constitution
++++
The problem is the low information voters and kids in the federal schools think the Constitution is a bowel disorder.

Okay...seriously, Holder departing in September essentially one month before the elections...what do the democrats know about their polling data that would indicate that “NOW” is the time for Holder to leave.

What are the dems afraid of...losing the Senate and the republicans retaining the house...If the democrats believe so firmly and with such deep conviction that “ALL” of their actions were above board, why does Holder have to leave, why. I know Holder believes deep down in his puny little activist heart that what he was doing was good and just and right, not necessarily good and just and right for the entire nation but at least for the special interest groups that got his boss elected.

I can’t imagine someone like obama being afraid of a house and senate controlled by the republicans — I mean, his administration has been the most open, honest, and transparent since the history of presidents, what is there to be afraid of. I mean he has a pen and phone...Why does Holder have to leave now.

If Holder was a man and had a pair, he would stay. But apparently “we” may find out there was some sketchy things going on and he doesn’t want to be around when the fhit hits the san. COWARD!!!

Dip$hits last two years as president are going to be so fun to watch if the dems lose the senate...

First Black AG and first AG in 225 years to be held in contempt of congress. Nice legacy. Almost as good as Obama’s and his “I hate whitey” rule.

Yeah, I heard she was asked to attend a picnic at Ft Marcy Park.

I heard that Coup Deval from Mass was seen in DC yesterday...was that a coincidence to the resignation??

ERIC HOLDER'S CAREER: Scandals, activism and race politics

Eric Holder is the fourth-longest-serving attorney general in U.S. history and has attracted more than his share of scandal.

1995 – Holder told the Woman's National Democratic Club that the DOJ would soon launch a public campaign to 'really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way ... in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarettes.'

January 2001 – As deputy attorney general, Holder interceded with President Clinton and advised him to pardon Marc Rich, a substantial campaign donor and 20-year fugitive, in a tax-evasion and racketeering case. Clinton granted the pardon during his final hours in office.

Eric Holder also pushed and got from Clinton a controversial presidential pardon for 16 members of violent Puerto Rican nationalist organizations. Holder, as deputy attorney general, pressed subordinates to drop objections to clemency for a group of terrorists convicted of numerous heinous crimes. Overall, they had been linked by the FBI to more than 130 bombings, several armed robberies, six slayings and hundreds of injuries.

February 2009 – Holder was confirmed as attorney general by a 75-21 margin in the U.S Senate and became America's first black attorney general.

February 2009 – A newly minted AG Holder said during a speech marking Black History Month that the U.S. was 'essentially a nation of cowards' on race-relations. He said in January 2014 that 'I would not take that back.

May 2009 – Holder stunned legal watchers by decided to try a terror-bombing suspect in civilian courts instead of giving him a military tribunal at the Guantanamo Bay detention complex. Ahmed Ghailani, indicted for the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies which killed 12 Americans and 212 others, became the first Guantanamo prisoner brought to U.S. soil for a trial.

November 2009 – Following an Islamist Army doctor's jihad-related mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, Holder's DOJ classified the casualties as the result of 'workplace violence' instead of opening a terrorism case.

April 2010 – Holder personally OK'ed search warrants demanding the secret collection of emails belonging to Fox News Channel reporter James Rosen. The DOJ wanted to track the source of a national security leak without Rosen being aware he was being surveilled.

May 2011 – Holder testified under oath during a congressional hearing that he hadn't heard about the failed 'gunwalking' program Operation Fast and Furious until one month earlier. A memo later surfaced from 2010 showing that Holder had been briefed on the program, which lost track of nearly 2,000 guns that killed hundreds including an American border patrol agent.

June 2012 – Congress voted to hold Holder in contempt, an unprecedented move, for refusing to turn over the Fast and Furious documents that a Republican-led committee had subpoenaed.

November 2013 – a Texas Republican congressman filed Articles of Impeachment against Holder but only attracted 26 cosponsors for the bill.

March 2014 – Holder declined Republicans' demands to appoint an independent Special Prosecutor to probe allegations that IRS officials politically targeted conservative groups with intrusive investigations. Instead he endorsed the work of a DOJ lawyer who was an Obama campaign donor.

I have a problem with the term “reverse racism”. It’s just racism.

I did notice yesterday that Al Sharpton had, like leftists do, re-defined what “civil rights” actually means.

It now means, simply “get YT”.

There should not be a lame duck session, or at least lame ducks should not be able to vote in it. Fear of not being re-elected is the only thing that might cause a Congressman to consider the wishes of his constituents; once this is removed, so is any incentive to represent the people. Nothing left but using votes to return favors or reward cronies, and other forms of corruption.

Maybe now Americans can finally do something about ‘RAT voter fraud without getting sued by the communists and Nazis down at the DNC’s “Department of Justus”.

Eric won’t be nominated for the Supreme Court. The next Democrat nominee will be younger than he is (he’s 63) and female. Particularly if Ruth retires, the replacement will be a woman.

Holder’s replacement will be just as bad. That’s a given with Obama in office.
