Some school-age children have been in contact with the U.S. Ebola patient being treated in Dallas, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday.

Five students at four different schools have come into contact with the Ebola patient, Dallas Superintendent Mike Miles added, but none has exhibited symptoms. The children are being monitored at home, and the schools remain open, Miles said. Between 12 and 18 people have been identified as coming into contact with the patient, officials added.

Ebola shows up? I’ve heard she’s sweet but kinda gets under your skin. Her sisters Motrin, Advil and Tylenol are definitely infectious types.

Thanks. I found it in another article posted further down too. Also, I saw mention of an apartment complex in Plano, so there may be further revelations later.

Since I have connections to that area, it’s worrisome to see such lackadaisical attitudes in the health community there. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we learn, within a week, that he actually had contact with people in several other places, including stores, and that now the circle of potential risk has widened to include a fair chunk of the northern DFW metroplex.

Is it 12 or 18? This would seem to be critical information. With the infected relative and the 5 children plus the 2 EMTs that took him by ambulance to the hospital, they are saying that only 3 to 9 other people came into contact with him? Is that including the doctors and nurses who treated him the first time? I’m betting the number is more like 30-40.

A pedophile and Ebola carrier? OMG!

True. And, not one bit of a surprise, he's a holderite:

Thomas Eric Duncan, Ebola spreader

Well done hussein, very well done. Your plan is working. /s

There was a long thread on hear about a possible pandemic from years ago. I need to run, but will try to find it. Written by a pandemic researcher. She basically said that when you first hear the news of it, probably originating in Africa, that you need to be ready to stop everything and hunker down. That by the time you hear the news - there is the possibility that someone has already hopped a flight and brought it to your community.

Pretty hard to do.

But when DO we “hunker down”? When it hits the U.S. When it hits your Region? Your town?

Just like the Ebola patient who had NO symptoms the first time he went to the ER.
This is going to get REALLY bad, REALLY fast. Wake up America!

Since I have connections to that area, it’s worrisome to see such lackadaisical attitudes in the health community there.

The entire state of Texas had perhaps the best health facilities in the world. The first heart transplant was in Texas.

With the advent of husseincare, what were formerly the best and brightest doctors and medical professionals on the planet have been struggling to get by. Pay has been sliced and hours stretched to the point of total burnout. A fatigued nurse was likely involved somewhere in the chain. And thus are the consequences of having an illegal muzzie squatting in the White House.

For all of his faults, this would have never happened during the Bush years.
