Death statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coupled with crime statistics from the FBI show that bicycle and falling deaths far exceed deaths from "mass shootings."
For example, on September 24 the FBI released a study showing there were 64 incidents of "mass killings" (mass shootings) for the years 2000 through 2013. The gunmen in these incidents took the lives of 418 people.
Breitbart News reported that The New York Times and AP jumped all over the study, producing headlines about how "mass shootings" are on the rise and crafting stories that revolved around the attacks at Sandy Hook Elementary and the Aurora movie theater.
The 418 people who were killed over a 14-year period works out to an average of 29.8 persons a year.
To be clear, no one wants to see even one life lost to tragedy, but the mainstream media's focus on "mass shootings" to the detriment of other news where hundreds or even thousands more lives were lost is telling.

In that case, let’s ban bikes and walking.
If that number is representative, then there were over 360,000 people killed over the same 14 year period that killed 418 from "Mass Shootings" {does that mean killed when in a Catholic Church on Sunday?}.
The 'take your gun crowd' will not acknowledge any stats that go against their narrative.
They will also not acknowledge that most of the shooters leaned Left.
tax the snot out of bikes and ban gravity.
Then there is Chicago........ All sorts of interesting statistical comparisons can be drawn between mass killings and say black on black murders within a specified statistically high murder rated neighborhood.
More likely to come out as "No dangerous bike riding or falling, while armed"
Governments have always killed more people than individuals have, which is why we have the 2nd amendment.
Don’t ask the popular media to report it, though.

Nikki was raped, strangled with her own Shoelaces, and thrown in the river barely still alive, where she finally drown to death. 24 Yrs of waiting for Justice, is obscene.
Tell TN Governor to do his Constitutional Duty, that 2 juries decided and all appeals courts was the right course of action. The Death Penalty.

“Unarmed” people like Ferguson’s Michael Brown are even more dangerous.
There were 726 homicides committed in 2011 alone with hands, fists and feet..
More homicides are committed each year with hands, fists and feet than are committed with rifles and shotguns. combined, including 2012 when the Newtown, Connecticut and Aurora, Colorado mass-murders occurred.
