Oh, good God...
Yet another sign of a formerly great country having been reduced to a pathetic, quivering mass of panicked fear of its own shadow.
Man up, America.. you’re embarrassing your sad self.

The stupid is enough to make your eyes bleed. I don't think it quite rises to the level of "pop-tart gun terrorism"

You’re right. We’ve become a silly culture, society, and country.
Silly countries get hurt.
We will have deserved it.

Next will come the lawsuits because some precious flower will be suffering from PTSD and the school district/teacher will be blamed.

WITN reports the panic started when the worker mistook a plastic sword for a gun. Fire any "worker" who can't tell the difference between a plastic sword and a gun.

...I wouldn’t touch that bet with a thousand foot pole...in fact, if it weren’t a female, I’d be shocked, shocked, I tell you...

All your plastic swords are belong to us.

I think a 6th grader could have written a better article than this idiot reporter.
Still, the school staffer is an even larger idiot and should be given a couple of weeks “time out’ without pay because of all the trouble she caused and the cost to the community.
I mean no offense to any FR teachers, but my public school teachers in the ‘40s-’50s weren’t such wimps as the teachers of today. I have lost all respect for public school teachers, in general, although I know there are still some good ones out there.

We’ll lock down a school because of a plastic sword, but we won’t restrict the travel of those coming from ebola-ridden countries.

Pirate Festivities? Now we are honoring pirates? I was going to say the only good thing about this is it was one less day of indoctrinating the children, however, then I realized this is all they are doing. Making it fun and honorable to be something bad rather than good. On top of that no reading, writing, and arithmetic Common Core.

That likely led to the cafeteria employee mistaking the plastic sword for a gun.The cafeteria employee also often mistakes Moochelle's entrees for real food.
