Obama also benefits greatly from an opposition park with incredibly weak leadership and no core principles. Almost any person pulled randomly off the street could do a better job opposing this president and exposing his failures than John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Karl Rove, Jeb Bush, Lindsay Graham, etc., etc., etc. They are as pathetic as Obama.

Speaking of Jeb, where’s father George H.W. Bush and brother George W. Bush on all of this? They are sitting comfortably in their fine homes watching the nation spiral down in the toilet. As elite aristocrats they ostensibly hang to the tradition of ex presidents not commenting on their successors instead of filling the leadership void by speaking out and rallying the people. When the nation is in the ash bin of history they will not be admired for their principled silence which is really acquiescence to the tragedy unfolding before our eyes. The founding fathers, who risked everything for liberty, would retch at the sight of the Bush family sitting quietly in luxury.

Contrast the silence of our two Bush ex presidents to a real statesman, Winston Churchill, who took the unpopular road publicly speaking out against the disastrous policies of Neville Chamberlain as Hitler armed and began his quest to conquer the world. Perhaps the Bushes got tired of being vilified in the pages of the New York Times and decided silence would buy them peace. Unfortunately for them history shows that when civilization collapses and the barbarians break through the gates, the first places they pillage are the homes and institutions of the rich and famous. It may also be they are so deluded by political correctness and Ivy League educations they really believe Islam is the religion of peace.

Is there no one with any stature in public life who will stand tall?

Good points all.

On the immigration issue and by extension the Ebola crisis now, Bonehead has uttered not a peep and McConnell is MIA. Silence is an admission of guilt.

As far as the Bushes go, Georgio II gave us Obama. Any comments from him, not a peep. Why not, well, since he is acquiescing to what he does without a peep, it is obvious to me he agrees i.e. he was for unfettered immigration and who was it who proposed the stimulus??

You have to come to the conclusion that they just don't care, agree with his policies or they are so corrupt that BO's got them good with NSA data that they dare not speak.
