Sen. John Walsh’s name has been removed from the U.S. Army War College’s academic rolls and grinded (sic) from a plaque listing the members of the graduating class of 2007 after the college stripped him of his degree for plagiarism.

The announcement that the war college revoked the Montana Democrat’s 2007 master’s degree on Friday marked the end of a swift-moving controversy that began with a newspaper story in July and led to Walsh’s withdrawal from the U.S. Senate race weeks later.

The lingering question is what effect the academic review board’s plagiarism report will have on the Senate race between Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Daines and the Democratic nominee who replaced Walsh, state Rep. Amanda Curtis of Butte.

Probably none, according to Montana State University political analyst David Parker. “I can’t see why it would matter at all. If he were still in the race, yes, there would be all kinds of consequences,” Parker said. “He’s gone, yesterday’s news.” …

Walsh also said he was taking medication for PTSD and that one of the soldiers he commanded in Iraq in 2005 had committed suicide in March 2007.

Thus, Walsh was not fit for public office, anyway, n'est ce pas?

Cheating and lying are not deal breakers for demon rats.

and grinded (sic) from a plaque

While unusual, I don't think "grinded" is grammatically incorrect.

I do not see “grinded” here. For English, it is orthographically incorrect.

This seems to be a democrat disease...does any one know of a republican doing any such thing, plagiarism, falsely claiming to be a decorated veteran etc.

Maybe in Montana but it sure didn’t help in CT when that clown was outed as a ‘phony’ Marine... He was in USMC JAG (I think) but he ran as a ‘Marines Marine’, with a war record and all got the endorsement of the VFW (at least his home town Post) and it turned out he wasn’t quite what he said.
He won going away AND I haven’t heard of CT Dept or his Home Post being Sanctioned etc....

We have something brewing here in VA ... A state Senator (D) from an R District ‘quit’, it was rumored he was offered a position by the R’s (after the fact?) on a prestigious board and the D’s etal made hay of that.
He went ahead and resigned then and the R’s elected a ‘friendly’ from his District, taking the VA state Senate out of the hands of a D Gov, D Lt Gov and D AG.
Turns out now that a top aide to the gOV offered him a ‘bonus’ for NOT resigning - leaving a message on a machine(?) (that from WashPost) and now it turns out the the sitting US Senator (Warner D)(running for reelection this year) is on record for offering the guys daughter a Judgeship or getting nominated for Fed Judge if he DIDN’T resign.

Although the stink was raised over the allegations against the R’s, I am sure the TRUTH against the D’s will not really hurt them.

I certainly hope I am wrong.....
