Colorado Democratic Sen. Mark Udall has talked about contraception and abortion more than just about any other 2014 candidate. Roughly half of his ads are about women's issues. The focus has been so intense that Udall has been nicknamed "Mark Uterus," with a local columnist joking that if the race were a movie, it would be set in a gynecologist's office. In a debate between Udall and Rep. Cory Gardner last week, moderator Lynn Bartels of the Denver Post used the moniker to describe him.
For all of that focus — and the insistence from Democrats that Gardner's record on women's issues was the key to Udall's reelection — the incumbent has watched the race slipping from his grasp in recent weeks, an erosion that many strategists believe speaks to the limits of the "war on women" strategy.
Sure, the "war on women" approach paid huge dividends in 2012, but it worked partly (largely?) because GOP candidates made insensitive and tone-deaf comments about rape and abortion. But if you look at this chart detailing issues of importance to voters heading into the Nov. 4 election, abortion and birth control just aren't hot-button issues. At all. Voters view those issues with about as much urgency as climate change, which is to say with not much urgency at all.

Just waiting on the ad that says the reason there is global warming is because of the Republicans war on women.
Not really sure it matters in a failed state like Colorado that will allow unlimited voting with same day registration and without ID.
May he could under go a live pelvic exam on TV would help his campaign.

Expect a blitz of campaign ads leading up to the election (not from Dem candidates themselves, but by the media via its selection of news topics) to remedy this. Somehow in 2012 a country focused on jobs and the economy re-elected a president who knows nothing of either (and underwhom both suffered immensely)...
The War on Women = “Hey vote Democrat and we’ll pick up the tab the next time you feel like murdering your baby!”
Looks like we need to ask Nate Silver about his Maroon 6 model again.
His model that predicts that if we win the six states he’s dubbed maroon, there’s a 99% chance we retake the Senate.
With Soros jumping in for Orman, I think we just re-took the Senate.
It may matter here. The real margin is so great that I don’t think they can cheat enough to overcome it.
At least I hope so, the recent Quinnipiac poll showing Udall behind by 10 is the accurate one I think.

We are innundated with Udall's commercials and they are so irritating.. Being female, I'd just like to slap him. He thinks women are idiots.
Although considering that my own sister votes for whomever is the "cutest", I guess assuming women are idiots can be true for at least a portion of the population.
If it would fix this country, I would repeal the women's right to vote amendment.
