Two Democratic lawmakers in Pennsylvania traded gunfire with a would-be robber Tuesday night near the state capitol in Harrisburg.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Rep. Marty Flynn of Luzerne and Rep. Ryan Bizzarro of Erie were heading home from dinner at around 11 p.m. when a man approached them.
The assailant “pointed a gun first at Flynn and then at Bizzarro and demanded their wallets,” The Inquirer reports. A second man was reportedly issuing instructions to the gunman from across the street.
According to the state’s Democratic Caucus, Flynn, a former corrections officer, pulled out his own weapon and “exchanged shots” with the attempted robber.
The lawmakers fled, as did the assailant.
After police arrived at the pair’s residence, Flynn said that he had fired his weapon and handed it over to law enforcement....

Interested to see how they vote on gun issues, my guess is its guns for me but not for thee, according to the big D in front of their names.
According to the article, they both voted for an NRA backed bill that would reduce gun regulation in Pennsylvania.
The only thing that would have made this story better would have been the inclusion of an ambulance and a wounded perp.
If you would have taken the time to read the article you would have found out.

Hopefully that should be residences.
PA politics is unique in some ways. It can be a blue state that votes consistently red when it comes some social issues and guns. This is especially true for politicians from the “T” (shape of the state when you remove Pittsburgh and Philadelphia).
There are a lot of conservative Democrats here who vote “D” a general reflex, but make their conservative/mainstream views known on specific issues.

They will no doubt be drummed out of the democrat party by the end of the week.
Well, you know one thing for sure, they were not aiming very well and I read on another blog they were asking if the would-be robbers were alright. They will be made out as heroes; a conservative would be called something the opposite.
