Actually I’m not even sure 500 are there now. The point I’m making is that twitter, with very little rumor control, repeats bogus stories days, even weeks after the supposed event. When you read on twitter “1000 more US troops to be sent to Liberia” you have no way to know from the tweet if that a new story or an old one. Twitter is an excellent propaganda tool, and has even been used to perturb the stock market with wild and patently false stories.
Freedom of Speech has a downside.... that’s true. Then again do we want to exchange that someone flawed freedom for the right to live in some hellhole like North Korea or Cuba? Most of us would rather be dead than live like that... Trust me, rumors happen on Twitter and the Internt but they’re also quickly knocked down.
I trust my fellow citizens a hell of a lot more than the paid trolls and shills of the Democrat party.
