Social issues matter more to me than fiscal issues, if I am forced to choose between the two. For me, it’s a matter of principle, and principles aren’t for sale, if a person has any integrity. A candidate could be an economic genius, but if he supports sodomite unions, sodomites in the military, baby murder, inundating our borders with illegal aliens, and abrogations of our God-given liberty, he’ll never get my vote. Unlike the Free Sh*t Army, my vote’s not for sale. I will be “poor but proud” for my principles, if forced to choose.

Bingo. Trouble is the FSA seems to have a lot of ‘conservative’ fellow travelers who share their burning sense of principles, integrity and morality.

Which is to say, none at all.

These RINO’s aren’t fiscally conservative either.

Romney is the only candidate who will ensure that the Chamber of Commerce gets to keep its obamneycare cash cow.

He's corporatist filth. We need a Conservative who actually knows and will defend the Constitution.

That’s the truth. We have the party of big government, and the party of bigger government. Neither is an ally of liberty in any form, fiscal or social.

Nope. Not at all. I don’t know why people have developed such vision problems. they look at black and white and see only gray. I am a believer, but there is no way on earth I vote for someone just because he says the word ‘Jesus’ a lot.

If he walks the rest of the conservative walk, great. I’m there. If he’s another fraud/Jim Bakker with delusions of politics, not a chance.

Besides all his other problems, Huckabee is a Protestant version of Catholic socialism.

Not going to happen, but I would love to see and hear Sarah Palin vs. Hillary in a presidential debate. Hilary wouldn’t know what hit her.

"Get some 80s hair back while your out. That could solve a lot of problems. Big hair and mullets."

Get it back? Hey, I have a mane of curly hair---no hairspray or teasing necessary, and no butch cuts for me! I'm 50, but someone guessed my age at 37...conservative women stay younger longer. We're living right.

"Teach Cruz to say “Well...there you go again” and we’re saved ;)"

He has to run...no ifs, ands, or buts. I hope he knows that.

"That being the unarguable truth, we have to vote for conservatives. Last election proved some of us are not doing the RINO thing ever again, ‘no matter what’. So, that being the case, combined with the many who came to realize the futility of RINO voting since, A rino simply cannot win without us. We have to vote for them, for them to win."

I ran my mouth last time about not voting for Romney, but I caved...and as a result, I learned a tough spiritual lesson. I don't want to have to do that again. I'm done voting for liberals with Rs behind their names. I can stand the squalling and the name-calling; none of it will change anything.

We've reached the point where some sacrifice might be necessary to prevent us from going farther down a dark path. If we want to take back the country, we're going to have to hold firm. Since the founding of this nation, men fought and died so that I would have the right to vote; I'm done throwing it away on RINOs.

Like you say, if Cruz runs, he can easily win if Republican voters throw their support behind him from the start. But I wonder if, to some, a Democrat is preferable to a true conservative.

The other day I asked a GOP supporter what she will do when the party officially announces its support for abortion and queer marriage. I asked twice, but I never got a response.

Thanks for pinging me to your post.

The good news is 79% of the voters chose someone other than Romney...
