The likelihood of a Republican Senate takeover continues to increase with all three major election models giving the GOP at least a six in ten probability of winning the six seats the party needs to win take back control.

The trend lines in both the LEO and FiveThirtyEight models highlight movement over the past week toward Republicans -- with a slight tick back toward Democrats in the last few days."

How can it be THIS close after all the crap this psychopath in the White house has done?

There's 30% of the country who are oblivious morons and have no idea how badly Obama has screwed things up.

And there's another 20% who know exactly what he's done and has been cheering him along at every stage.

“We can then work toward stiffening the knees and straightening the spines of wobbly Republicans.”

This is a lullaby that we have outgrown.

“Remember when the Republicans last had control of all three branches of government? We accomplished exactly nothing conservative. We increased the size and scope of government apace. We got John Roberts. FAIL

Listen to the silence coming from “our” leadership. They’ve got nothing for us. No guts, no principles, no desire to crush the enemy, because they don’t see them as enemies. And besides, they’re all lawyers and members of the elite.

All the procedural advantages mean squat if you don’t have the courage or desire to WIN.”

^^^^ THIS ^^^^

People who say that "nothing will change if the Republicans take control" are pretty simple-minded.

Don't get me wrong, nowhere near as much as necessary will change if the Republicans get the senate, but it will be much better than having Obama and Harry Reid running that show in Obama's final two years.

But saying we don't need a Republican senate to slow things down is like leaving a knife on the table in a fight because the other guy has a gun. A knife is not very effective against a gun, but give me the knife over nothing everytime. I'll see what I can do.

Obama doesn’t need Reid. McConnell and the progressive GOPers are happy to fully fund his agenda without engaged opposition. They’ve given up. Whipped.

You mean other than the 420 House bills in Harry Reids’s trash can?

And blank check funding obama agenda is better? The GOP is going to own obamacare at this rate. They sure love to fund it without engagement.

Ping me when McConnell’s back stab omnibus spending lame duck bill plan is in the trash also.

So what’s your plan? It’s not enough to just complain about it, you have to do something about it. Politicians can turn on a dime when the pressure is applied and they see that their cushy little arrangement will no longer be supported.

What they can’t see, however, is when the disgruntled disengage, don’t vote and don’t build a power base that can get something done. Waiting for the conservative tooth fairy to show up is going to be very disappointing.

This is the WRONG analogy...

The “fight” you suggest is with progressives. The GOPe ARE progressives or a close cousin, therefore they are also who you are fighting against. You cannot “enlist” one of your enemies to fight on your behalf against their own side. Well.. I guess you CAN do that, and in fact we HAVE been doing that in the past... but WTF man?! Now that we KNOW they are part of the enemy ideology why the F would we EVER consider asking them to “help” us again?! WHY would anyone ever believe that we can trust them to not take that knife on the table and stab us in the back AGAIN?!!!!

Jesus... Get it through your SKULLS.... these people are NOT on our side! these GOPe are progressives! they are co-opting the GOP for the socialist party. If you stupor them in any way you are a problem for us.

My congressman (Garrett) is one of the most conservative in the house. I'm voting for him and the guy, Jeff Bell, running against Cory Booker in the Senate. Bell's main platform is a return to the US gold standard. He's obviously not going to win.

Garrett will win easily though and I'm happy to vote for him.

Who are you voting for? A turnip?

Never vote for a progressive republican. EVER...

The only way to purge the GOP of the progressive infestation is to exterminate (electorally of course...) (for now...) (wink...) them...

If your not a paid hack, them Im sure your under the impression that everything can be fixed if we just get republicans in office. well... if we get a SUPER MAJORITY of republicans (as per the jackasses we voted for when we gave them all three branches of the fedgov.

Heh... That kind of naivety is not something I can work with. Nor is it something that will help you in life. You need a situation to hit you square in the face...

coincidentally... Thats my “Plan”. Too many folks like you. We need to “burn” this mother to the ground to wake you folks up. I dont even feel bad about it, because NOT “burning” it all to the ground is gonna be much worse. We will NEVER get rid of the socialist infestation in the GOP, much less the country, if we dont.

So, I would prefer for things to go to hell sooner rather than later. I would prefer people not be soothed into tyranny by the GOPe, but rather have the chains SLAPPED on them by the socialists in the democrat party. Rude awakening brother... hopefully we have control of a purged GOP by then so we can take the fight to the M’er F’ers when our ranks start filling with ANGRY people.

“...until they repeal commiecare and impeach this bastard ...”

RE Impeach: Isn’t going to happen. There is neither the will, nor the testicular fortitude, nor the votes to do so.

RE Repeal: probably won’t happen either; in a perfect world, with a REAL opposition party, the ONLY bills that would come from the Senate and House would be “Repeal” bills for the next two years - over and over and over, hammering the point home that “yeah, you may not sign it Mr. Potus, but we’re going to keep sending it to you, every damn day that you have left in office, just to show you that we’re listening to our people”.

And with a REAL opposition party controlling both chambers, NOTHING ELSE this clown tries to do will ever see daylight; make him use EOs, and then take him to task on them.

But that’s not going to happen either.

Lack of courage.

When men refuse to stand up to their duties, obligations, and responsibilities.... well, you get the GOP-e; and you also get the Dems, ready, willing, and salivating to capitalize on the lack of honor and lack of courage of their “colleagues across the aisle”.

As much as it galls me to say it, I gotta hand it to the Dems - at least they fight for what they say they believe in.

heh.. my post was a little unclear... ;) typing on cell phone sucks...

gist is this... Ill settle for Mitch and Thad losing there elections this year. They NEED to made an example of. I would trade control of the senate to watch these two F’ers lose.

If/when they win.. I will always treat them as the “democrats” they are. I will never trust them and will always advocate their removal. If they lead anything, I will have zero faith and trust in what they lead and I will treat anything they have control over as enemy territory...

This is NOT healthy for our base of operations against the progressives (republican party) but it is the way its going to be until we rid ourselves of the progressives in our own base.

McConnell plans a lame duck spending bill to fund the obama agenda for another year. Another preemptive surrender from the Surrender Party.

He’s doing that so he can “clear the deck” to give the goobers on the GOP plantation another toothless obamacare “repeal bill”. The kenyan will veto it and the potemkin GOP opposition will be complete.

I will vote GOP in FL. Just don’t pee on me and tell me it’s raining by telling me a Senate GOP will amount to a hill of beans. There will be no engaged opposition to the Obama agenda. They surrendered after Romney lost and are sitting it out until 2016.
