A recently debate on Facebook required that I Voxsplain how a free society allocates resources to a group of feeling, sensing liberals who don't have the slightest idea of economics. In fact, when it comes to Economics, they resort to "magical thinking." I've often thought that it is easy to describe a Democrat: simply picture a Republican, then take away reason and accountability. (Hat tip to Mark Andrus, As Good As it Gets)
So, I think it's rather funny that you guys want to lecture me on science, but you don't spend a minute thinking about the humble science of Economics. Here are the Cliff Notes: people work and save and that money gathers together to form investment funds run by evil fund managers who vote Democrat, BTW, but let's put that to the side. Think of these funds as pools of money, they can be moved around the world by a simple keystroke.
The fund managers are, let's just stipulate, evil and are motivated by what, anyone? They are motivated by money, to pay off their college loans and to buy fancy...More

For some reason, I couldn’t read the article.
I know it’s about scarce resources, then my mind wandered.
I got distracted by the girl playing tennis and didn’t read it for that reason.

You’re welcome. When I was younger, I never would have believed how much men are influenced by that motivation. Now that I’m older, I do. You’d think it would have been the other way around, lol. I suppose over 30 years of marriage have made it clear.
It’s quite simple actually.
If you like separation of church and state, you can just think of capitalism as separation of economy and state.
You still need law and justice but best to keep govt out of the economy itself.
There’s no government mandate that I be supplied w/coffee, yet there’s a shop on every corner. How’d that happen?
In communism, govt controls production and distribution. Think of having to go through your HOA to get a TV. The board, based on how many TVs have been supplied by the state, decides who gets a TV this year.
In socialism, govt controls distribution only. But this is mostly expressed through taxation in countries in Europe and U.S.

One small addition. Fund managers also are compared to each other. If everyone is losing money or missing their goals, then the bonuses get smaller. But if only a few lose money or miss their goals, then they lose some of their accounts and don’t get bonuses.
A little blunt, but mostly spot-on.
