The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
She can read. She knows exactly what’s going on here. All those folks in Africa are under quarantine. That’s what smart people do.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but does being angry give one a fever? It seems to me that your bodily temperature is whatever it is, and being angry only brings the blood to the surface. Being flushed, to my mind, would likely give a more accurate reading of what your core temp really is. If you walk off an air conditioned airplane your skin would tend to be cooler than your actual core temp. If this broad doesn’t understand THAT, she probably won her diploma on a punchboard. Anybody remember punchboards?
IDK, but people in certain professions get all full of themselves about it. Being an electrician, I have seen my fair share of nurses act to condescending sometimes. Anyways, they sure, for the most part, need guys like me to do construction work sometime. Also, just because one is a nurse or doctor doesn’t justify pride.
Well, they should have told her what was going on and what would happen to her. But it is what has to happen. She may be making more of it than she needs to. I have been delayed that much by the airlines with flight delays, and no one gave timely information in that instance either. Frustrating? Yes. But all we can do is try to make improvements.

It’s wrong to put them in a hospital for quarantine and it was wrong for the hospital not to give her fluids and food for seven hours. Glad the government is on top of this. hahahaahaha
A thermal scan of the forehead would register higher than an oral thermometer. HOWEVER, if you were sweaty, it would spread Ebola. Hmm. Not sure I want my temp taken after her or anyone coming from West Africa.
They should have put her in an appropriate hazmat outfit and held her until a cop could transport her home with an order to self quarantine for 21 days.
She travels all the way to Africa to care for Ebola patients, but her fellow citizen’s health means nothing to her? Anyone willing to care for those patients should have compassion for the rest of us here and not run the risk of exposing us.
These medical professionals seem to act like “superior” lefties.

Yes. It is profiling. Profiling based on diseasism, the latest form of racism. After all, everyone knows the cops pick on certain groups who commit the most crimes. Now they’re just going after people most likely to have a deadly virus. OUTRAGEOUS!!!.
Before I posted my reply, I intended to include in my remarks that I got the impression this gal was looking for someone to sue, but forgot to include it. Never mind that SHE had potentially dragged ebola to our shores and we were only attempting to defend ourselves.

Well I’m not sure she knows what the he]] she is doing. She is 30-what and still single, still hoping to bag a “doctor without a frontier’ and hoping to have that baby before she’s too old.
Maybe with all the publicity she’ll find her liberal doctor and live happily ever after. In the meantime I hope she suffers with her iPhone, texting, internet, gourmet food, and all the rest. She must be really suffering.
