I agree. She probably does NOT have ebola. So in a few weeks she will make this all look like hysteria. On the other hand this is setting awful precedent. The governor needs to take a strong but reasonable and legal stand. My concern is the courts may not be reasonable. They have in the past on this issue but those were different judges. It’s a different world now.

I have to agree. Read somewhere that she was a statistician for the CDC. Wonder how long it has been since she did any real nursing. Good bet she oversold her mission to friends and KNOWS she doesn’t have Ebola because she was never near it.

She’s had blood tests already that show her free of the virus. This is nothing more than fear based media politics. Despite being self centered, good for her for standing up to power in the name of reason.

There are some lakes and ponds in the REAL boonies of Maine, with rental camps on them, that are accessible only by float plane or helicopter.
Also some remote islands.
Three are needed so no one would have to wait more than an extra 7 days.
People could be dropped off with rations for 3 weeks, reading material, etc., and picked up when their time was up if they are still alive.

I know some people from Maine. They do NOT put up with foolishness. I will be surprised if this woman is not run out of that State.
This “nurse” is way too off balanced to be any reliable sort of medical professional. Give her an ultimatum: 21 days quarantine, or 21 days lock up in jail, and there is NO bail!

There are lots of places where people could be isolated for a while in the USA.
Quarantine isn’t punishment so I would make them as pleasant as possible. I can think of a few wooded places I would love being quarantined in northern Michigan.
Go for a Psychiatric evaluation
Violating state ordered medical quarantine is a crime. And a very serious one at that.
