A desperate Mary Landrieu smears the state she represents
The New Orleans Times Piscayne ^ | October 31, 2014 | James Varney

Things must be going even worse for the Democrats than the polls suggest. The campaign of incumbent Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., for example, has hit rock bottom.

How else to explain her lame attempt to blame her electoral peril on racism and sexism? Modern illiberals are incapable of thinking their record or their ideas could lead to misfortune.

Landrieu has been in trouble in the polls for weeks now. Indeed, it seems increasingly unlikely she could beat either of her two top Republican challengers head-to-head, although she will almost certainly get the chance against one in a runoff.

Desperate, Landrieu went on NBC News. She allowed that sustained attempts to undermine energy production and thus make things much more expensive for us contributes to President Obama's unpopularity, which, in turn, dampens her own re-election prospects.

But then that's the uphill battle she must fight, Landrieu sighed, because in the South blacks and women have had it hard. She declined to explain how she has been elected three times as a senator by such a collection of unwashed knuckle draggers.

I'm surprised to see this in the Times-Pic.

They're reliably as left as the Des Moines and Milwaukee papers.

Saw this and thought; didn’t this dimwit serve in her nice cusy job for three terms(18 years)by the same people she is now calling sexist and racist?

Hopefully ebola-free chocolate.

The voters of Louisiana deserve so much better than this total waste of a politician.

In politics since the age of 23.....get a real job. Or don’t you have any real world skills?

Is anyone kidding themselves by thinking she actually represents anyone in La? Like all democrats she represents herself first and the democrat party second. Her constituents are not even in the picture except as the vehicle by which she is reelected.

.

Manness (sp) needs to do a last-second drop-out to ensure Landrieu is defeated without a run-off.

It's simply the "right thing" to do.

Did any reasonably intelligent person actually wonder what she really thought of the peasants she and her family have lorded over for decades? Bad news for her was, that she actually let it out in a moment of exasperation.

Once the ballots are printed, and absentee voting beings, is withdrawing feasible? (well, unless you’re a D in NJ, that is)

She was culpable in the “Katrina” disaster in 2005. She was advising Gov. Blanco, who was her unready creature, and at the same time talking to James Carville, who was nobody’s civil-defense expert but a 100% simon-pure political advisor.

So Sen. Landrieu was getting political advice from Serpent-Head and using it to steer the hapless Blanco....

But Serpent Head isn’t a *principal* in the ‘Rat Party, he’s a gaudy and talkative tool, but he doesn’t act on his own.

So who was the Man Behind the Curtain? Who steered Louisiana onto the rocks, and told Gov. Blanco to use her constitutional authority to freeze out and delay FEMA until the max damage was done and the MSM and Louisiana pols were screaming for President Bush’s blood?

Gosh golly, “Katrina” (the political, not natural, storm) wrecked Bush’s second term when it was only seven months old, and Beastwoman’s run for President was less than 18 months away.

Gee, how ‘bout that? (/off “Snake Doctor”)
