Ted Cruz plans to lead the Republican Senate (moderates afraid!)

You can forget about Mitch McConnell. Ted Cruz has plans to take over… if the Republicans win their Senate majority. After a spell of cooperating with his party during the campaign season, the Post reports, he will elbow his way into de facto leadership.

In an interview at the Hotel Captain Cook here between campaign stops for Sullivan, Cruz made it clear he would push hard for a Republican-led Senate to be as conservative and confrontational as the Republican-led House.

Piggybacking on what House leaders have done, Cruz said the first order of business should be a series of hearings on President Obama, “looking at the abuse of power, the executive abuse, the regulatory abuse, the lawlessness that sadly has pervaded this administration.”

Cruz also would like the Senate to be as aggressive in trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act as the House, which has voted more than 50 times to get rid of the law.

Republicans should “pursue every means possible to repeal Obamacare,” Cruz said, including forcing a vote through parliamentary procedures that would get around a possible filibuster by Democrats. If that leads to a veto by Obama, Cruz said, Republicans should then vote on provisions of the health law “one at a time.”

And when asked whether he would back Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky for Republican leader, Cruz would not pledge his support… ...WaPo

They’ll tweak Obamacare, they’re “hellbent” for amnesty... F&F, Benghazi? Distant memories.

There’s little difference in agenda between Dems and Repubs. There’s really no point in voting for any of them. Thank you RINOs, you’ve destroyed the party.

Just watch an emboldened Mitch strip him of any committee positions.

You omitted the words "try to".

McConnell? Emboldened? Only to fight against TEA Americans.

Eventually they go bye bye and a new party rises. All this crap is just death throes and cursing God for their actions.

Cruz/West 2016

If tomorrow begins a visible path for Cruz to lead in the Senate, shucks no. Leave him there for a while and run Sarah for President instead in 2016.

As much as I would dearly love to see Cruz get the nod and take the helm in the senate, lets not get ahead of ourselves. It is plain that the repubs MUST first take the vote to gain control. We all know and suspect there will be considerable wrongdoing on the part of the demodummies who MUST cheat to retain control.

It isn’t over just yet.
