Some good news in NV. State senate is now R-11, d-10 so the senate is now under R control. Thanks to Becky Harris(R) kicking incumbent sen justin jones(d) anti-gun butt in Clark County. Sheriff race in Washoe County taken by Chuck Allen over anti-gun mile haley(sp) under sheriff kuzanek. The 4th US house seat taken by Cresent Hardy(R) over incumbent steve horsford(d). So, that give us 3 R's and one d in the house. Lt. Gov went to Mark Hutchison over lucy flores. Sec of State when to Adam Laxalt over ross miller.

Yep it was a good night in the silver state. If only the dina titus race had gone a different way, it would have been perfection.

Especially glad to see tax initiatives went down in flames.

So proud of my 23 yr old daughter who took the time to vote.

I am elated and surprised. I had not dared to hope that we would get rid of Whoresford or Ross Miller, take the state senate, or get rid of Reid as the senate majority leader. Harry Reid has got to be kicking himself this morning for presuming democrat wins and not seeing that the democrat fraud machine was turned up to 11. And the unions in Nevada. What happened? They must have slacked off on the forced busing of union employees (legal and not) to the polls.

Thanks to her for taking the time. Turn out was pretty lame but I guess there wasn’t enough incentive for the low/no info voters to show up. Sadly, our rep “benitez-thompson” won again. We never see her or hear anything that she’s doing but I guess she managed to round up enough folks to put her in for another term.

Possibly the Vegas unions are waking up? Nah. If hairy runs again in ‘16, there better be a super strong opponent or mr. useless will be in there again. He’s not looking too good these days.

Yep. Prouder still that she is a conservative with a hint of libertarianism. That’s what nearly all of Nevada was before the invasion from other states.

Took my girl to visit my parents. After a couple days she asked me how anyone could live there. She’s a native nevadan and the humidity was brutal for her.

I came to nevada from Florida because my dad was stationed at nellis. Been here 35 yrs

We’ve been here 3+ years now and are extremely happy. We moved after I got laid off/retired from the Shuttle program in ‘11. We’d been planning on moving here for about 12 years anyway.

My father-in-law used to make thermal blankets for the shuttles when he worked for Northrop back in the eighties. He was an upholsterer and went to work for them after he retired. I can’t remember which one he and my mom-in-law went to watch launched but it was a great experience for him.

I’m glad you are happy here. Nevada is a great state.

Good day in the neighborhood! Two bad things, The Allen vote was way to close (he was outspent 10:1) and Sheive(sp?) who wants to Kalifornicate Reno. My two guys in the Leg won handily (Hansen and Gustafson). I am still smiling.

Yeah, I was a little surprised at the margin between Pez and skivvies. Allen, I’m glad. I sure didn’t want a mini-me hailey with the same anti-gun attitude as his predecessor. Now we can only hope that mares against guns and moms lookin’ for some action plus the margabby puppet show don’t reach their numbers on the background check initiative. Glad Hansen, Gustafson, Settlemeyer, Wheeler all won. Really glad that Becky Harris kicked justin jones butt down in Clark county too. Too much kalifornicatin’ going on already. Some of the letter to the editor in the rgj fish wrapper are pretty unbelievable. The couple I’ve had printed caused a few heads to spin in the comment section. Sadly, (or not) you have to use facebook to respond and I don’t do that so their comments go unanswered by me.
