IRS Admits To Court They Never Even Looked for Lois Lerner E-Mails…

All of this, ALL OF THIS, is to avoid sunlight upon the reality it was the DOJ who initiated the targeting scheme, and used the IRS to get it done. In addition the White House fully knew what Eric Holder was doing.

(Via Judicial Watch) – Judicial Watch announced today that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admitted to the court that it failed to search any of the IRS standard computer systems for the “missing” emails of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials.

The admission appears in an IRS legal brief opposing the Judicial Watch request that a federal court judge allow discovery into how “lost and/or destroyed” IRS records relating to the targeting of conservative groups may be retrieved.

The IRS is fighting Judicial Watch’s efforts to force testimony and document production about the IRS’ loss of records in Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation about the IRS targeting of Tea Party and other opponents of President Obama(Judicial Watch v. IRS (No. 1:13-cv-1559)). The lawsuit is before U.S. District Court Judge Emmett G. Sullivan

wasn’t there a judge’s order involved here? Isn’t that perjury?

I'd say contempt of court. It's perjury if someone lied about it, as in "we tried", and then it was revealed that they didn't. It isn't perjury if they didn't obey the court order... it's contempt because they disobeyed.

I serious hope that a judge puts someone in jail until basic searches are performed.

No problem, they'll just pick someone off a gun registration list, or a church membership roster, and go 'roundem up.

Until someone’s thrown in jail for it nothing will change.

Criminality must have consequences or we have anarchy.

I think the constant breaking of laws by BO and his minions with no one EVER being held accountable, but promoted is one of the main reasons the dems lost so big. This really resonates with people. Dems think they are above the law and this pisses regular people off big time.

Slammer time!
For the top 2 or three thousand execs and then send in an independent tech team with an all access pass to drain the swamp, document every system and their backups and get the answers. Please.

Remember folks, Congress could have gotten to the bottom of EVERY SCANDAL a Long Long time ago using their Congressional Power to JAIL WITNESSES, see “INHERENT CONTEMPT” just to piss off some liberal that might read this, here is a link to a pro communist site about such powers,
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2007/04/house_arrest.html

But there are numerous articles from reputable sites as well.
