Politico: Conservative Stand Against Obama's Executive Amnesty Leaves White House in Disarray
Breitbart ^ | 11-14-2014 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 11/15/2014 4:09:52 AM PST by sheikdetailfeather

The White House must have thought Republicans in Congress would fall in line behind Speaker John Boehner and let President Barack Obama do what he’s “gotta do” on executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Politico reports that as Republicans have instead organized behind incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to oppose the President, the Democrats and White House—including Obama himself—are showing signs of weakness.

Obama showed his frustration during a press conference in Myanmar on Friday, Politico’s Seung Min Kim and Carrie Budoff Brown wrote late Friday night.

“They [Republicans] have the ability to fix the system,” Obama said. “What they don’t have the ability to do is to expect me to stand by with a broken system in perpetuity.”

Obama added that his vision of “immigration reform” is something that “is way overdue. And we’ve been talking about it for 10 years now and it’s been consistently stalled.”

When these numbskulls had both house and senate they did nothing because if they did they would own it. They needed some on the other side to take the blame when it fell flat on its face.

As the not particularly bright Obama said (when he was away from his teleprompter) “Don’t call my bluff!”. Slims had no idea that it’s not good to announce you are bluffing.

the first Indonesian Tyrant by his and Pelosi’s fraud.

FREEPER IOWA CORNMAN POSTED: I suggest we start raising hell with our representatives that we want no funding of any of this......We need injunctive relief immediately in the federal courts to enjoin any federal agency from implementing this unconstitutional madness.

==================================================

Capitol switchboard...1-866-220-0044.
Call or write your legislator ASAP.

MESSAGE: tell Congress that your midterm vote was specific---a demand that they fight tooth and nail---using both tooth and nail----to demolish the Obama/Reid amnesty plan to force American taxpayers to subsidize the expansion of the Democrat party w/ foreign voters.

AMERICANS HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT: Americans demand the Republican leadership tell Obama: "If the president unilaterally moves to augment the power of the Executive Branch in an unprecedented and unconstitutional manner via E/O'ing amnesty, then the Legislative Branch will need to increase its powers in order to maintain the balance of powers called for in the US Constitution.

FREEPER EDWIN LAND INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: The Senate can do this in an unprecedented but completely constitutional manner, by providing that the filibuster rule is suspended completely until such time as the president withdraws his executive aggrandizement.

RATIONALE--Obama's temporary amnesty E/O requires temporary suspension of the rule. That should also include Congress passing laws without the president signing the bill.

If it is okay for the president to overreach, then it is okay for Congress to overreach. Obama forgets that the Congress---and Americans---can also say, “We have been patient.”

================================================

THIS NEEDS TO GO VIRAL----STOP OBAMA IN HIS TRACKS :

(1) Fund every penny that is budgeted now.....except defund all DHS, ICE, HHS and USCIS' rubber-stamp activities. Defund anything and everything that directly and indirectly deals with amnesty: work permits, green cards for illegals, gravy train subsidies, re-situating unaccompanied minors w/ families. Then let Obama defend his amnesty E/O or take the blame for the entire shutdown himself.

(2) As a further warning----no votes on ANY Obama nominees until Jan 20, 2017. No judges, No Attorney General, no sub-cabinet secretaries. NOTHING----thanks to the SCOTUS ruling, Obama could not recess-appoint ANYONE, if the House declares the Congress is always in session.

================================================

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-ALA), has set up an active war room dedicated to undermining Obama's plans on immigration, and is next in line to chair the Budget Committee. From that perch, he would have the power to set spending parameters that undermine the president's moves.

Both bobola and boner should explain to the 92 million Americans without jobs how giving amnesty to30 million illegals helps their job situation.

For Obama in particular and Democrats generally, conservatives, even Republicans are an unstudied alien species. This case is just the latest example, how else can you explain that they are surprised that any amnesty plan, especially Obola's "executive" amnesty plan is going to be fought. George Bush's amnesty plan was fought and defeated back in 2006 and 2007. So, what informed person would like that conservatives/tea party/base would just line up behind John Boner? Boehner's been under attack for years already. No one's going to follow him off the cliff, except for his cronies.

In the 70's, former liberals, then Libertarian, psychiartrist Peter Breggin reported that the liberals, much less the leftists, never read anything to their right. Today, 40 years later with unlimited access to non-liberal writing, with talk radio exploding since 1987, with the internet, throw in Fox News, the liberals/leftists still do not read. watch or listen to anything to their right.

We are an unstudied alien species, whose outlines are perceived through wild propaganda charges: racist, bigot, anti-woman, anti-worker, in other words, simply evil dark beings. The propaganda we laugh at or get outraged over, they, the liberals actually believe it.

If the GOP does stand against Obama, we are going to have to put you on suicide watch.

You are totally in the tank for GOP failure. You won't even give them a chance to screw-up.

Your childish immaturity is really tiresome.

And then we’d have another Obamacare on our hands. No legislation impacting all Americans should be passed with a simple majority vote except to repeal previous legislation passed with a simple majority vote. Two examples come readily to mind, both favored by Democrats. The first was increased taxation in the Clinton years, made especially unattractive by taxing Social Security income and including a “retroactive” date to initiate increased taxes. The second was Obamacare and we all know what that has done.

What you see is not always what you get. These two bodies of congress play high stakes poker and do not reveal their hands until they are ready. What we are seeing is a congress without the interference of Harry Reid beginning to come out of the shadows. You can bet that both the house and senate are in this game no matter how it may look from afar.

Boehner and McConnell, who collectively have sold out to Wall Street's open borders amnesty money face a real problem. The recent election proves beyond question that the rank and file of the Republican Party will not tolerate a cravenly capitulation to Obama on this issue. Their problem is they must count the dollars coming in from fat cat donors against the votes going out from their disaffected base.

It is probable that Obama will continually raise the bar until the Republicans are forced into ignominious surrender or government shutdown or even impeachment. I think Obama probably wants to get amnesty put through so that he can break down American sovereignty as he ensures leftist administrations for a generation but I also believe he is deliberately courting shutdowns and impeachment.

If this is the case, we look at how Boehner and McConnell are handling the prospect. Surprise! They are handling it exactly the wrong way. They minimize the danger of amnesty and they maximize the danger of government shutdown. They take their remedies like the power of the purse and the power of impeachment off the table and in effect tell the American people that these constitutionally provided remedies are somehow inappropriate if not illegitimate.

They should be shaping the battlefield now. They should be educating the American people about why open borders cost them their jobs, their kids educations, their hospital treatment, their physical safety on the streets, their futures. The people should be educated about the constitutional system and why the power of the purse is in Congress. Historical parallels with Mussolini, Hitler, and other despots who ruled free of constraints should be made clear to the people. The power of the purse should be equated with patriotism. The danger of the Gruber/Obama administration must be made plain and related to the lives of people.

One can go on and on, the point is that neither McConnell nor Boehner have uttered a breath in this direction and it is unlikely that they will do so. They have to be forced by the likes of Ted Cruz. It is bad enough that conservatives have the media against us, is it necessary for our leadership to speak out against us?

So after the beat down the dems took on election day, they expected the same status quo...?

Wow, these folks really do live in a bubble...

The American people just want their country back.

STOP Obama. Secure the border. Enforce existing laws. Nobody is living “in the shadows”. Illegals are in our face. The rule of law matters even when a black guy is in the White House.

The reason crying man and the turtle don't is because deep in their hearts think we are as stupid as the democrats like Gruber say we are...
