Three men died and at least 15 people, including six teenagers, were wounded in shootings across the city since Saturday afternoon, police said.
In the latest fatal shooting, a 27-year-old man died after being shot around 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the Old Town neighborhood downtown, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Around the same time, a 24-year-old man died and two other men were in critical condition after being shot at a party around 3:10 a.m. Sunday in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood on the West Side.
A 14-year-old boy was in critical condition and a 16-year-old boy was wounded after they were shot around 9:55 p.m. in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, Alfaro said.
Both teens were standing on the sidewalk in the 5700 block of South Marshfield Avenue when a male attacker who was walking in the area fired shots, Alfaro said.

We need to know the race/ethnicity of both the shooter and the victim, to know if this is newsworthy.
These shootings are only newsworthy, if black men are shot by white cops or white Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteers.
Otherwise, just another day in Chicago.

(When are the blacks in Chicago, especially the parents of the kids that get caught in the crossfire, going to ask Al, Jesse & O’bummer why THEIR lives aren’t at least equal to that of thieving, bullying punks?)

They would have done even better, but it was cold outside.
On the face of it, I’d tend to agree, except for the occasional collateral damage like children getting shot in their sleep when a bullet goes through wallboard and siding. Their offense was just being born in the wrong place at the wrong time.
