Will Republicans put climate science back on trial?

Obama has “graciously agreed to allow” China to continue stamping out coal-fired power plants like cookies. America already is not the leader in CO₂ emissions, and in a dozen years or so China will be emitting about half of such emissions. Nobody is about to change that, and Obama says he’ll slash our emissions, which will be pretty much irrelevant even if we do it.

So we had better HOPE that AGW is wrong, because we’re doomed if it ain’t. And we have a lively hope, because

1. CO₂ is still going up, but the earth’s temperature isn’t, and

2. The ClimateGate emails and program dumps make it pretty clear that the “evidence for” AGW is bunko which should be prosecutable.

The US government itself produces 780 billion tons of carbon emissions annually. The GOP should shout that from the rooftops while they pledge to reduce the government by 90% in order to save the planet.

Science is always “on trial”, that’s how it works. Peer review is essential. Getting answers that you want to believe is ideology or religion.
