How are you doing with your relationship with Jesus Christ? Please respond.

Oh here, please evaluate my relationship with Christ. Compare it with your own, and let me know where I'm falling short. Pretty please?

LOL, get thee behind me, lame brain.

Is he saying that Bill Clinton is born again????

Good question. Perhaps as Clinton's health fails, which is obviously happening, he has become born again. But he'd never say so, because it would WRECK Hillary's chance to run for prez.

OK, what do you want me to do?

I want you to take the "It's a Small World" ride at Disneyland.

Seriously, Just Do It.

Your addiction to James Bond Land has completely cut you of from the other areas of the Park. As a result, you're lacking in certain heart vitamins, and there no way for you to get in balance without starting from the beginning.

I know, "It's a Small World" is heavy medicine, and its a shock to find out that your situation is so dire. But that's what crisis intervention is all about, dude. You can do it if you try - one day at a time.

Perhaps instead you and I should pray for others that may be forgiven and shown Christian compassion. Posting pictures of pacifier sucking infants or telling people to take rides at Disneyland are just juvenile insults, and not worthy of the cause Christ spoke about in Matthew 28. What do you think?

Posting pictures of pacifier sucking infants or telling people to take rides at Disneyland are just juvenile insults, and not worthy of the cause Christ spoke about in Matthew 28. What do you think?

You mean the same Christ who turned over the tables, scattered the money and released the doves at the temple, and then went so far as to literally whip people and drive them out for their wrongdoing? Who blasted a fig tree to death? Who told His disciples to wear a sword? The one who said "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

That Christ?

What's juvenile here is your stubbornness and denial of what is right in front of your face: you're out of your depth. And you're supporting politicians who have done everything they could to destroy the country while wrapped in the flag. And you're boring.

As for Christ, trust me, "we" don't agree on the subject. So take your puerile attempt at Sunday School PC guilting and - what? Throw it in the trash with the rest of your techniques of course, because that's all it is to you. You invoke prayer as a tool for manipulation, something the sheep do while you pull levers in their heads. And you think you're invisible.

I posted a child sucking on a pacifier because FR won't let me post what you actually deserve.

I don't understand. That is a cryptic response. Let's speak more plainly, and then I cannot be accused of assuming.

What don't you and I agree on regarding the subject of Jesus Christ?

My position is that sin divides God and man, it is inescapable. God is just, He cannot be anything other. God demands punishment for sin, of which we are all sinners. Christ came to earth as the sinless Son of God, and willingly was tortured (scourging, beating, crucifixion) and died for our sins. He paid that penalty for all sins past, present, and future. Those who accept Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and will not fall under the wrath of God, which is ultimate torment in Hell forever.

Do you disagree with any of that?

If so, then you are not a Christian.

I didn't make that up - that is what the Bible preaches.

As for Christ being the fierce, yes, He was. He did throw the money changers out of the Temple. He is the Lion of Judah. He will return to destroy wickedness, and He will do so with such awesome power and terror that evil melts at His very words.

But He also demonstrated mercy.

I don't know why this is so controversial, but I support the Bush family befriending Bill Clinton simply because I believe they are demonstrating Christian compassion. Are Barbara Bush, GW Bush, and George Herbert Walker Bush Christians? I certainly believe they are, and they have STATED that they are.

Even Bill Clinton is not beyond redemption. Neither are you, and neither are I.

Was Bill Clinton a lousy, horrible President who did great evil?

Yes.

But I don't want to see anyone go to Hell. Neither does God - and I know that because He said so (2 Peter 3:9).

Believe me, I have received a lot of Freepmail for my stance on this thread. Some supportive, some not.

If I don't pray for sinners, then there is no reason that Jesus Christ was tortured and died.

And that is false. Period. He was tortured and died for a reason. He saves all those who come to Him.

You don't believe this, but you will.

Again, cryptic response from you.

I tell you what I believe, in Christian witness, and you give a subtle threat in reply.

So let me speak plainly again to you (although this is getting a bit tiresome as a one way street).

"Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty."

Revelation 19:15

And since I am the only one sharing honest responses here, allow me to tell you something else.

I met GW Bush on two occasions. Once at Charleston Air Force Base. He held my young daughter in his arms, and hugged my wife.

I met him again in Mogadishu Somalia.

Both times, he was gracious, and a leader.

I met GW Bush as well. He was thanking a friend of mine who had been maimed.

And GW Bush cried.

I share that here to emphasize that you have no idea of the people you claim to speak about. You are angry, and arrogant.

At least that is what you have demonstrated to me here.

Now prove me wrong.

Sorry, first instance should have read George Herbert Walker Bush. And yes, he was an amazing man.

First, with all that hugging and crying did W explain why he left the border wide open, or why he did not take the fight to his buds in Saudi? Anyone talk about gutting our workforce with NAFTA or offshoring? How about Mena? How about Christian Bill’s trading nuclear missile guidance systems to China? How about signing gun grabbing bills and megabank bailouts?

Second, concerning your wall of hallelujah text that grossly paraphrased selected chunks of various denomination’s creeds and bible phrases, I couldn’t figure out if you wanted a signed and notarized loyalty statement or a salute. But you were definitely demanding something, because you declared that anyone disagreeing with your personal legitimacy test literally was not a Christian, because - “it’s in the Bible.”

Well that’s that, then, right? Subject’s closed. Everybody knows what’s in the Bible and only heathens disagree about it. It’s not like there’s several hundred Christian sects out there, right? Or bible scholars who disagree.

That’s why you really should get those belief qualifications out there for the world. Why, you just wouldn’t believe the number of people in this world experiencing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who have no idea they’re not Christians. Especially when the basic test - believing in the honesty of Bill Clinton and GW Bush - is so easy and straightforward. Imagine going to hell simply because you can’t allow your own stubborn, arrogant mind to believe in these beautiful, loving, baby-kissing, weeping politicians. It’s a damn shame.

And as for your personal love-fest with those truthful, honest, reformed, hugging, brotherly Christian politicians, I’m certainly not going to stand in your way. Because I’m sure they love you just as much as you love them - every bit.

I don't want anything from you in the form of a salute, or acknowledgement. I am a sinner. It is God who deserves the glory.

But I will post this, and all I ask you to do is think about it. It is not "grossly paraphrased" or anything of the sort.

Think about it.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Ephesians 2:8-10
