With rape allegations against Bill Cosby mounting, supermodel Janice Dickinson tells ET in a new interview that the comedian sexually assaulted her in 1982.
Dickinson, now 59, recalls first meeting Cosby, now 77, when her agent set up a meeting with him to hire her for a role on The Cosby Show. After they had dinner, she says their next conversation was when he called her out of the blue while she was in rehab for drugs and alcohol. Following her stay in rehab, Dickinson says Cosby reached out to her during a trip to Bali and had her travel to Lake Tahoe, because he was performing there and wanted to offer her the job they had discussed as well as help her with a singing career.
Dickinson says they had dinner in Lake Tahoe, and claims that he gave her a glass of red wine and a pill, which she asked for because she was menstruating and had stomach pains.

And that's when she tells ET that things took a disturbing turn.
"The next morning I woke up, and I wasn't wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man," she tells ET. "... Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs."

PLEASE read #73 about a similar case in the UK with BBC star-maker Jimmy Savile.
That is how monsters like Savile (and probably Cosby) get away with it.
And they are not after sexual pleasure per se (with a drugged girl?) but humiliating them, telling them at the end, “Screw you, I’m Mr. Famous and nobody will believe you, so don’t try.”
And in our celebrity-worshiping culture....it works.
A white woman trying for a part on The Cosby Show? Yeah. Right. Even when Cosby subbed for Johnny Carson he had only black guests.
The problem is there is no way to prove he is guilty. At this point, all they can do is level accusations.
Cosby is finished. Like “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, the way he looks now shows his true, rotten-to-the-core character.
This is his legacy now.
True but at this point, what does it mean? He finally gets his due?
The media can either protect him like they did Clinton or destroy him like they did every Republican.
Consider post # 88, which claimed Cosby has settled numerous such claims , could be definitive. There were people who made a claim and were paid, so the question is perhaps reducible to whether payment was made as restitution/"hush money" or whether it was just cheaper to pay than litigate.
I agree that the HollyWeird “Star” has the power to abuse those who want into the Hollyweird world. However, that is largely a world where that with an aura of the sexual is being sold, or that which is far more overtly sexual than mere aura is sold.
As the history of film is the history of using sex to sell something, that a person would expect those my mother's generation called “theater people”(not a compliment, either) to behave other than they have is asking a bit much.
A mother brought her 14 year old daughter down to an interview for a short video. The mother and my colleague and I spoke with her at some length regarding her hopes for her daughter. Seems she had a sister who had married some actor named Sheen, evidently a man arguably of less than exemplary behavior. Knowing this, she was still planning to send her daughter out to his place for the coming summer.
The daughter was pretty, but not a head turning beauty, and intelligent, a rather sweet, ‘girl-next-door’ in short. While that was what was needed for the video, and while the mother would have been present during all taping events, the mother seemed content to have no presence at all during the coming summer.
She felt the sister's hosting the girl around HollyWeird would be good for her future in the entertainment world. The daughter was on the intelligent side and seemed quite capable of becoming a functioning professional in a number of fields so selling surface was not her only possibility.
HollyWeird’s promising allure of glamor and gold (rarely actualized, sadly) can be said to all too often exert a less than salutary effect on parents and offspring alike.
What has the above to do with the instant case of Cosby v. whomever? I would ask why any person expects to discuss business other than “funny business” with a HollyWeird ‘Star’ who insists on meeting in a hotel room.
I am hardly a “HollyWeird ‘Star’ but I always hold all interviews in a public place. That is why God created coffee shops in book stores.
Think I am joking? Try interviewing hopefuls who have the intelligence, appearance, and three ounces of metal embedded in their face, or sufficient tattoos to have satisfied a squad of WW II Marines!
At least a cup of espresso and browsing a book shelf helps remove the lingering taste of cultural devolution left by such “happenings”.
In short, color me suspicious.

I don’t know, could this all be legit, sure, or could it just be folks out for a buck? Could it be a little of both? I don’t know.

All I know is, I am glad to be a nobody, all the money in the world can not make fame worth the cost IMHO. I can’t imagine living a life where hopefuls are throwing themselves at you, and you have to worry about the motives of everyone you interact with, let alone date. That is a reality I have zero desire to exist in.

I don’t know if Janice is telling the truth or not but she’s truly a nut. Brags about sleeping with hundreds of men. Says she tells Cosby she’s menstruating and her stomach hurts. Wakes up with semen between her legs. A woman on her period wakes up with semen between her legs? Really? As a woman myself this just doesn’t ring true. A big red wet splotch between the legs then sure.
This isn’t a courtroom, but a discussion thread, so we are free to extrapolate and theorize. I see Cosby as a more careful and selective Jimmy Savile, but of the same breed of monster.
And he’s been protected by his celebrity status all these years, like Savile.
