I am seriously thinking about skipping the family Thanksgiving dinner because of this. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only times that I sit down with liberals. I did not chose my relatives. I was once very interested in abolishing the EPA, even going to the point of drafting legislation to accomplish that.
But the problem is, even if a future President revoked Nixon's executive order that created EPA, all the underlying statutes would remain on the books and any President would be bound to take care that those laws be faithfully executed. The creation of the EPA, in fact, was an economy move to eliminate duplication since ten or twelve Federal agencies were tripping over each other enforcing a whole slew of unconstitutional laws passed by Congress between 1946-1971.
