Technical point, but Julius Caesar wasn't an Emperor; he was a Dictator.
Augustus was the first Emperor.
Or the emperor Constantine III in 410 AD, making proclamations and fretting about his legacy as if he wasn’t aware that Alaric and his visigoths weren’t about to sack Rome...
And how did they eventually get rid of Julius Caesar?
Oops-Alaric and his visigoths WERE about to sack Rome...
OBAMAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL AMNESTY TO MIGRANTS THAT ARE LIVING ILLEGALLY IN THE U.S.A.
After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.
The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.
Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obamas new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

Julius Caesar was not an emperor. He marched on Rome, killed or subjugated his enemies and had himself declared dictator for life. In other words, a tyrant. Cicero hoped in vain that once the dictator was dead, the old way would be restored. But instead a new triumverate was established that eventually led to another civil war and finally to the first true emperor, Augustus.
In return for his desire for a return to republican government, Cicero was murdered by Marc Antony and his tongue and hands cut off and nailed to a post in the forum.
“The people DID get bread and circuses, though.”
The merchants ‘got’ bread.
It freed up consumers’ money to spend, and the merchants got addicted to that.
The circus became the dominant media outlet, in a position to insulate Bread and Circus’s survival against criticism.
The people got devastation.
We need to move to close visa-driven immigration from all related hispanic nations. Because of the number of illegals already in the USA, if we uphold our percentage of annual visas per country-based system, it will take decades for hispanics to again be allowed legal visas. The hispanic coalitions know this so their way of dealing with a self-caused problem is to demand US policy be set aside for a more accommodating 'first-come, first-served' immigration policy that naturally gives preferential treatment to hispanics. Allowing unfettered immigration and preferential treatment will destroy the national identity of the USA the percentage system is designed to preserve. Racial tensions will increase as new arrivals continue to balkanize into segregated communities, each competing for government benefits, each demanding special rights (race-based police/city management hiring, etc) - exactly what our immigration policy is designed to prevent.
Unless he files articles of impeachment, we are wondering the same thing. Love ya, Ted, and I think you are in a position to be a great leader, but unless you actually do something you are no better than the person you bitch about.
Maybe, OTOH maybe states’ business interests would have forced through an amnesty long ago.
Hard to say.
Senator Cruz can’t file articles of impeachment. Impeachment begins in the House. Upon a 2/3’s vote in the House to impeach it is then tried in the Senate. If 2/3’s of the Senate votes to convict only then can he be removed from office.
I just pray that it happens soon. But I’m not holding my breath.
Three steps:
Seek an injunction.
Withhold funding.
Start impeachment proceedings on Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, and executive orders.
If the line stopped here, you would be completely correct.
However, with the precedents he is setting and the Constitutional safeguards he is wholesale wrecking, a more evil (if possible?) President might follow him, one which would make Stalin look like a saint.
Too long.
Ted Cruz rocks while other pubbies vacillate
The lesson is, the time to fight an emperor is at the time he tries to take power. When the next one comes along, it will be too late.
Elections are meaningless and power is shared amongst those whose primary interest is their own power.
The Roman Senate allowed themselves to be transformed into a brothel.
The time for free men to step forward and reclaim our right grows short and soon we will be chattel in our own home.
