President Obama says that his executive order will ensure that currently illegal immigrants will have to “pay their fair share of taxes.” But the vast majority of undocumented aliens don’t make enough in income to have a net income-tax liability. As I note in Forbes, a 2006 analysis by the Century Foundation, a progressive think tank, concludes that “we can be virtually certain that illegal immigrants earned less than $24,000 per year, on average, probably much less.” That amounts to around $29,000 in 2014 dollars, well below the threshold where an American has a net income-tax liability.
Legalizing this population is unlikely to result in significantly higher payroll-tax revenue, because many illegals have fake Social Security numbers that their employers use to pay payroll taxes on their behalf. Century estimates that “about $6 billion in annual payroll taxes are allocated to non-existent Social Security accounts. . . . This sum is certainly more than any income taxes that would be owed on the earnings involved.”
Century concludes that “it is likely that the undocumented workers will end up receiving rather than paying the Treasury money.” (Emphasis in the original.)

In Oak Ridge, Tennessee a couple years ago {before I stopped shopping there} they drove around in shinny new Yukons and could be seen in line at any Western Union wiring money to good old Mexico on payday and buy their nightly beer. Average wage for legal unskilled labor around here is $10 hr. If they get hired at $7-$8hr tax free and get free housing and Food Stamps etc on a stollen SSN how much further ahead does that put them? Considerably ahead. They aren’t the just barely scraping by “victims” the liberals want people to believe. They are THIEVES.

About the only taxes they pay are FICA payments on their payroll at the chicken plan against their fake Social Security numbers. They claim enough dependents so that there are no federal or state taxes taken out.
The SSA? They note which fake account number and/or stolen number it is claimed against so that the real owner’s can’t take advantage of the increased payments to SS when they retire. Later, when the Democrats make them legal and they demand credit, they will be issued new numbers and accounts with credits for the past payments they’ve made.
The financial and sociological devastation that is coming with these illegals is going to be biblical.
I hope not. I don’t know if these illegals would be considered resident aliens or not. In the end, Obama’s IRS would make that call, unless Congress specifically forbids it by law.
Rules for every taxpayer for EITC:
•Must have earned income, such as wages, tips or the income from running a business or farm. Most other types of income, such as retirement pensions, though usually taxable, do not count as earned income;
•Must have a Social Security number that is valid for employment for self, spouse and any qualifying children;
•A person can get the credit even with a small amount of investment income, such as interest from a bank account. However, the amount of investment income is limited to $3,300;
•The filing status used must be single, head of household, married filing jointly or qualifying widow or widower. A taxpayer who files as married filing separately cannot get the credit;
•Generally, must be either a U.S. citizen or resident alien;
•Cannot be a qualifying child of another person;
•Cannot file Form 2555 or Form 2555-EZ. These forms are used to claim the foreign earned income exclusion, a tax benefit for Americans who live and work abroad.
A very healthy fraction of the illegal population work in the underground economy. Their earnings, whether above or below board, have a far less impact on our economy because a large chunk of their earnings are sent back to their native countries.
Absolutely true! Those that bother to report income will typically be females doing so in order to receive Earned Income Credit from the IRS (assuming they qualify). The vast majority of males will continue to work in the "Underground Economy"! Democrats get their cheap votes..., Republicans get their cheap labor..., the average American gets screwed (as usual).

They were NEVER going to pay “back taxes”, since they don’t have reported income, and they were never going to pay “fines” for the same reason.
These lawbreakers want the s.s.# to get welfare, not to report any of their off the books income.
Note the percentages and nationalities at the top of the list by nationality and the breakdowns lower on the page under "All Immigrants" and "All Natives".
Be aware that the percentage NOT using EITC or ACTC include those households where no one worked or they worked of the books.

The illegals I stood behind at Lowes the other day had a few thousand in cash in his wallet. I am not going to hold my breathe that he is going to contribute to the general well-being.
