'We Will Not Engage': Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, “Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen?” Bachmann replied with a question, “Do you want the truth? Okay, I’ll tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!”

In the weekly meeting called “Republican Conference” in the House of Representatives, “we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty,” she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.

“They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn’t even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing,” Bachmann said.

She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a “brilliant strategy.”

"We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

Fortunately it can be done without leadership. A few brave congressmen can lead as long as we back them up.

Just like the GOP-e REFUSES to defund Obamacare.

I hate to break to registered Republicans and all you talkers like Hewitt and Medved, BUT JUST ELECTING MORE REPUBLICANS IS NOT GOING TO GET OUR CONSITUTIONAL REPUBLIC BACK.

Article V is the only 'civilized peaceful' solution remaining to "We The People"

I would venture to say the Fed Gov no longer has the consent of the governed.

No surprise. Most of them support amnesty, and are happy to have Obola do their dirty work. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they had a deal with him for him to do it if they won the majority. Hip hip hooray for the R team winning.

I believe it. The RINOs are deathly afraid that they will have to stand up to the president.

Brilliant strategy napoleon watch your ship sink after its overrun with rats.

They obviously got your number down pat, knowing exactly how to manipulate you into doing whatever they want even just weeks after the electorate tells you to do the exact opposite.
well you time on stage is limited as your going to bleed to death much as is the custom after stabbing the knife they gave you in your own gut.

‘We Will Not Engage’

George Will says basically the same thing on FoxNews Sunday. ‘The GOPelite sort of approve of the Obama amnesty policy; they just disagree with the process.’

Chris Wallace seemed to be disheartened that there didn’t seem to be much Republican handwringing.

“I would venture to say the Fed Gov no longer has the consent of the governed.”

that has been true according to polls for the last 4 years.

Washington’s insiders have taken over and masterfully now control whom ever we elect just as the same people now ignore our Constitution as if it were just a suggestion.

There is no room for consent to this government much as there is no limits or even at this point control over this government.

Perfectly consistent with some tough talk from Boner and McConnell, but no hint of a definite plan. Looks like their plan was to talk tough for a day or two, saying nothing, and then go home for Thanksgiving.

RE: Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty

How does one ignore an executive order that blatantly ignores the law while millions are here illegally and tens of thousands more will be encouraged to flout it, without encouraging the same behavior?

I think most of them support a way of letting them stay but only when the border is sealed. And since the border has not been sealed now or on the future, a lot of them do not support the action. I think there are some that do support the action because they want employers to have cheap labour which I disagree with. Just saying.

Buy bullets, vote Democrat and bring on the collapse. Better we fight it now than make our kids and grand kids do it.

Crazy

Well any republican who acts differently will be the exception
The GOP loves amnesty. They did not want the mojo ritzy they don’t like the light of truth any more than the Dems

The republican congress is too numbskulled to understand the obvious message of last weeks election which was anti amnesty and it was historic
Or they love amnesty and their masters at the chamber of commerce

They enable Obama and they are as bad as he for doing so

But bachmann is done

I knew the republicans would have been better off losing

Like they are better off having lost the wh with that awful Romney who would have been pulling this kind of thing

Bachman announced last week on hannity that we should march on Washington on December 3 about this.

Yes Michelle we already did - on November 4th.

Now we have jobs to keep. Congress either does the jobber
We voted them in to do or the voter fury will be extreme next time

Too bad the republicans don’t care about being in the majority
