A woman appears to have accidentally fatally shot herself in the head with a gun bought to prepare for possible Ferguson-related unrest, according to sources briefed on the police investigation.
The shooting occurred Friday night in downtown St. Louis, the city’s Metropolitan Police Department said, in an area dominated by vacant lots beside a football stadium.
The female victim, identified in a police report as Becca Campbell, 26, was a passenger in a car involved in an auto accident. Her 33-year-old boyfriend was driving, the sources told CNN.
Very interesting - at least one source claims she was a protester, but I suppose the question is whether she was protesting the “Gentle Giant’s” death, or perhaps protesting the weak response to the protests?

Stupidity.
He should have put her body in the street and claimed a white policeman shot her. That would have given them more mileage to loot and pillage before months go by and the truth comes out.

The story as written doesn’t go into detail - it COULD have been a revolver, in which case it would always have a round ready to go if loaded.
If it was a semi-automatic handgun, then yes... why?
But then again - I carry everywhere, every day. It’s only chambered when I feel it needs to be.

OR - as some posters below the article have suggested - the boyfriend plugged her, and then staged the accident to cover it (possible, by IMHO, but not probable).
I go by a simple doctrine: Never attribute malevolence to an event where simple stupidity could also be an option...

I would go with stupid as well. It’s not hard to believe that some immature idiot who never handled a gun before and had no training, bought a gun and then while playing with it ended up shooting herself.
HOWEVER, the ‘detail’ that bothers me is what were they doing driving around “vacant lots just outside the stadium” ???

There’s definitely more to the story. But since one of the principle actors in that play is dead, that’s all that’s one the headline for now.

What amazed me was that his constant, non-stop, post after post America bashing never got him banned! (It was some idiot racist type crap he started up with that finally got him the ZOT iirc). He NEVER let up with that America bashing of his!!
