Recall that Mary Landrieu was able to round up 14 Democrat votes for her XL pipeline bill. With only 45 Republicans that was one vote shy of defeating the filibuster.

I'm barely on board with Cruz.

I just read excerpts from a speech he gave in El Paso after the Gang of Eight Amnesty passed in the Senate.

Cruz said he supports the Amnesty, but the border must be secured first, and there can be no path to citizenship.

Anyone familiar with this issue knows that the border will be “un-secured” as soon as we have a Democrat president or a RINO like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.

As to no path to citizenship, that issue won't survive it's first hearing in a Federal Courthouse.
