"I would like to hear from Steve King and Jeff Sessions before giving this plan a thumbs up."

I agree, if for no other reason than if Boner likes the plan than we should be suspicious; if King, Sessions and respected others see it as reasonable then so be it.

I cannot help being suspicious of anything the republican leadership approves of, on the leadership trust level the republican leaders are at -5 with me and the democrats at -6.

paid for by the stupid grubbered taxpayers.

Government derive their just powers from the CONSENT of the governed. We consent to this each and every year when we file our taxes. Moreover, we:

CONSENT to the destruction of our 2nd Amendment rights every single time we walk into a gun store and submit to a background check or every time we ask permission for a CCW permit.

CONSENT to a corrupt financial system every time we accept or use a worthless Federal Reserve Note (FRN)

CONSENT to a corrupt and overbearing tax system every time we file taxes

CONSENT to big government every time we ask permission to build something on property we "own"

Unfortunately, it would seem to me that there are no true patriots left in America, willing to make the sacrifice necessary to make a stand and stop CONSENTING. Doesn't it give you the warm and fuzzies knowing you CONSENT to all these things?

Why have a confrontation if you don't have enough troops on the field? By March, we will own the Senate - til then, we dance ...

We'll "own" the Senate on January 3rd. Why push it off till march?

Someone explain to me how this is any different then what happened last year. Put off budget issues until spring then we fight.

Then came spring and McConnell backstabbed everyone to get a freaking 3 billion dollar boondoggle for Kentucky.

It’s a RINO Stampede. Watch Boner and Post Turtle take the party right over the edge of a cliff so the RATS can sweep in 16.

Agreed. The GOP leadership will do anything to avoid a shutdown. And it worth remembering that they were pushing for the Omnibus bill from the very outset.

If I recall correctly, Cruz wants to pass a CR until the next Congress is in place and then fund the government department by department, which would then give the Reps the ability to affect Obamacare, the EPA, IRS, etc. along with amnesty. As a result, the vast majority of the government would be funded prior to the anticipated fights on these other issues.

Kraut was right though they should also have included the EPA funding til March along with DHS.

The Pubs should also pass along some rhetoric about “wanting to return to a regular budget process after 6 years of Dem CRs”.

Hard to argue against that.

Political calls Tom Price and Hal Rogers "conservatives."

Wonder what they would call Louie Gomert and Tim Huelskamp or Ted Cruz (I'm thinking fire-breathing, rabid, racist TEA Partiers no doubt.)

The two-part plan, which GOP leadership laid out Monday evening to some lawmakers, is designed to give Republicans an opportunity to express displeasure with the White House’s move on immigration while avoiding a shutdown.

In other words, Boehner's gonna stamp his feet and cry. Get ready for the waterworks.

I don’t think nothing is going to change. He is only securing his job as Speaker. Not going to do anything on amnesty. There should be a push to remove him not give him help by leaving him in charge. If people can’t see he is not willing to fight, be prepared for much disappointments, because people are tired of the same ole same ole rhetoric. And, here they are pushing Bush in 2016. One can already see what Bush (Rove approved) would do; follow this same agenda as in nothing changes.

Yep it is a great plan! Especially since it fully funds Obamacare long enough to continue letting it get entrenched!

Wait, what? Did the GOP-e leadership lie to the electorate again? Who woulda thunk it!

This is a terrible plan, as it wastes an entire year of the GOP’s two-year window. The only acceptable plan is a return to regular order in which a separate appropriations bill must be passed for each of the Executive departments; the president must accept or veto each of them separately, so the failure of any single appropriation bill cannot “shut down the entire government” as the fearmongers allege. But regular order spells responsilitiy and accountability, and neither party wants any part of that. So here comes the mighty GOP, fresh off a landslide victory - with yet another “omnibus” Continuing Resolution with no changes in spending priorities or amounts. Politics as usual...

>>Get rid of this loser.
If not, the GOP can kiss their sorry RINO *ss goodbye.<<

I called my representative Kevin Brady's office and spoke to an aid of his. She indicated she was a lawyer during our conversation so I took it she was not some intern answering the phones.

The lady indicated before the last congressional break, the representatives met for a conference. One of the topics was the coming leadership in the house. She told me that NO ONE stood up from the house to oppose John Boehner for speaker. Four house members abstained their votes.

So, that's it. Unless someone in the house has a change of heart and stands to oppose Boehner...Boehner will be house speaker in the new session.

Republicans tawk a good game...that's it. I briefly was encouraged by the last election outcome. Seems to be fading after listening to Boehner’s comments and Mitch McConnell out of the senate.

Half hearted motions to give the appearance they are getting tough on Obozo and his lawless deeds.

Fact is, Big Gubbamint Republicans want amnesty just as much as the democrats. This country is bleeding slowly.

Like a lot voters told them, this is your victory to make changes to the damage of what Obama has done..It was not a win to say, voters prefer you as seeing government business as usual. Boehner is the problem. We need push back.

I fully funds Obamacare and removes the power of the purse from the new congress. Another sleight of hand from Boner and the stupid Republicans.

God these GOP people suck.
