Gun control advocates used plight of iconic California condor to push legislation.

A pro-hunting group is up in arms after obtaining emails that it says indicate that a federal official withheld critical data on lead blood levels in the California condor until after gun control advocates in the California state legislature used the iconic bird’s plight to help push through a law last year to ban lead ammunition.

...

Lawrence Keane, NSSF senior vice president and general counsel, accused the Fish and Wildlife Service of deliberately sitting on the report in order to bolster the chances of passage of Assembly Bill 711, which ushered in the nation’s first statewide lead ammunition ban.

When data does not support your viewpoint hide it. That is what dems do all the time.

Liars. What’s new? Chronic liars inhabit our government. These anti-American traitors should be arrested and exiled.

Agree if we vote what the left calls right wing radicals in office. I bet the majority of the country would feel just right.

This would be a good line for the Republicans to start using everytime they are in front of a camera and especially when the presidential race starts. They could cite hundreds of examples. I’d like to see the dems defend themselves.

“If you torture teh data long enough and hard enough, it will always confess”. Dr. Earl R. Rich.

Earl assumed deliberate delay in publication of time sensitive data would be considered a form of data torture.

He was right.

Willful fraud needs to result in people going to jail for many decades. Everyone in the entire chain of command goes to jail and the law is ruled invalid by the courts, immediately dissolved.

You mean the Obama Administration has agendas that trump honesty? Who would have thought that.

At some point the Big Zero's legacy is going to be as one of the most corrupt Presidents in the history of the US. His Legacy will elevate the legacy of Jimmy Carter, significantly.

The lead content in the blood of the birds comes from two sources:

1. Residuals of lead oxide in gasoline (probably bogus).
2. The condor’s range is almost exactly that of lead mining in California. Slag piles (hundreds of them) are full of lead and the condors are taking the lead into their crops and ending up with lead poisoning.
3. There is lead on the surface in the form of pebbles and they too are taken into the crop.

The entire argument concerning ammunition is bogus.

If I recall correctly, conspiracy to deprive American citizens of a fundamental civil Right is not only a criminal offense, but actionable in civil court as well. FOIA their e-mails.
