“This could happen to any of us.”

THIS is what I’m trying to say to the FR members who defend every police officer in every situation, even with video in their faces.

It could be YOU or your brother or Uncle after a few drinks saying something stupid to the police and getting a boot on his head or choked to death, or the police messing up an address or some SWATting teenager playing videogames with your kid who sends this crowd to YOUR house.

It could be ANY of us and this is why we have Constitutional limits on State actors.

“It happens a lot. You just don’t hear about or don’t care to do enough research. In fact good cops often try to get rid of bad cops before they ever become a problem. However, rank and file cops don’t get to decide who gets fired, politically correct Chiefs and administrators do.”

Interesting, since one of the biggest complaints of sheriffs and chiefs is that it is nearly impossible to fire a cop. Maybe if those ‘good’ cops didn’t insist on such wonderful union contracts, it would be easier to get rid of bad cops.

And if good cops were so numerous, they’d have the power to address the issue. They did, in a lot of places, get sweetheart union contracts and even special Police Bill of Rights. They can’t be completely powerless after that.

One cop who did cross the blue line is that Florida Highway Patrol officer who stopped a Miami cop doing 120 to his off duty job. How did ‘good’ officers respond? They condemned her, rather than applaud her and condemn him. They then harassed her.

“Has the other side of this story been told?

Read the article - the cops ain’t talking. “

Of course they aren’t. Cops are more worried about being held responsible, than about being responsible. All they care about is CYA, not about their victim.

Since it is clear there is no further criminal investigation, there is no legitimate reason for silence.

I have never heard sheriffs or any chief complain about not being able to fire anyone and I have been in law enforcement for almost 20 years. However, I have seen them protect incompetent employees on many occasions. The complaints about not being able to fire people come from the cops in the field.

To many swat teams doing too many illegitimate raids.

I try to defend law enforcement, but these asinine raids are accidents just waiting to happen.

We could do with about a 95% cut in SWAT teams in this nation.

Every little berg wants one.

Sorry, but I caught an article about it a while back. It is a real issue to a lot of sheriffs/chiefs. I can see both happening in different departments.

You might want to read the story.

The people of Laurens County most certainly ARE protesting, mostly white people with a lovely Black lady as well. They’re
all in terrible danger when the moron cops can break down their doors, toss them to the ground, and simply murder them by
blowing their brains out for no good reason at all.

The police forces that do this sort of (all over the news) thing need to be disbanded. The IQ tests to qualify for police work
need to be returned to the 110-120 point range for the replacement hires. These 90-or-less-IQ thugs aren’t qualified at all.

A lot of innocent people are dying at their hands.

You forgot your sarc tag, E-S.

Go look at the people who are protesting his death. There are many
pictures of people with homemade signs, and they are livid.

He was a good man, and one of the JBTs murdered him on the word
of some criminal drug addict who admitted that he robbed Hooks.

Police should never believe criminals about anything. If someone
will cheat, kill, and steal, certainly they will lie to evade jail.

JBTs looking for drugs... Found none. Sigh...

There was no sarcasm intended.

The methodology described shows that his death was the sole intended result of the raid.

Take it from there and go with it as you will.
