The House narrowly approved a sweeping spending bill Thursday night despite deep misgivings among liberals and conservatives alike, sending the measure to the Senate as lawmakers averted a partial government shutdown.

The bill passed on a 219-206 vote, following an intense lobbying effort by House Republican leaders and the White House.

Where are our intelligence agencies? Where are the guys listening in to Boner and Odinga, and Warren (who I think IS being set up for accolades, for some reason) and the others? Where is the Mossad, who has likely got LOTS of dirt on these a-holes?

Can't someone record some conversations? Does anyone have any guts? NOTHING in Wikipedia could send these liars to jail forever, or at least force them to resign?

I really like the idea that as least the Republicans gave all of their members a chance to read this enormous bill, not unlike the Democrats that pushed through Obamacare!

Well we at least have that...uhmmm. Do normal folks think that passing a horrendous bill, thousands of pages long, and no time to read and complain is a good thing?

Is that what we voted for? Damn Republican Party - just like the Democratic Party!

Damn Republican Party - just like the Democratic Party!

I was saying that before November.
I was sure they'd see a Republican win not as repudiation of the Democrats, but as proof of the viability of their do-nothing policies.

Yeah, I keep vowing to quit commenting on this site just because I’ve given up on either party - well actually, the Republicans. Old age and watching past governments have given me a very pessimistic view of the outcome. I really think that the rise of maybe the Independents or some other party may be the answer but of course all the rules are against them. Oh well, I will go out damning them all!

Isn’t there a provision tucked in there that dramatically increases campaign donation limits?
*******************************
Yes. Earlier today I saw someone explaining on TV that it also stops the spending of taxpayers’ dollars for political conventions and that’s why they increased the donar limits.

Great, another incomprehensible thousand page (actually probably more) bill that nobody reads! Isn’t that the problem with all of these comprehensive bills? How in hell are these Representatives and Senators able to vote when they have no idea what is in it? Well, the simple answer is that that don’t have any idea...they vote what their leadership says to do for the most part. Well I say let’s just let the staff do the work and forget about electing Representatives! How could things be any worse!

Americans know that if the White House was for it, it is/was bad for America.

Oh for God’s sake, this was all a staged event, winding down to the last few minutes, building drama and tension, as if the world hung in the balance (well actually, it does, but these imbeciles never had any intention of stopping the madness). Then at the moment agreed upon they declared a grand and wondrous life-saving moral victory and congratulate the hell out of themselves for rearranging the deck chairs on the Otitanic.

Traitors, every one of them. And selfish, witless fools. The ship of fools sails on! How glorious!

Good luck with that.

Warren is an American-hating communist supporting baby killing and the sodomite agenda. And she’s hideous looking, too.

Easy Norm. Once January gets here, and they start pushing through all that symbolic, half hearted legislation, the vote-for-the-(R) crowd will be back. I can already hear them telling us how hard Boehner, and the boys are trying, but that dastardly Obama keeps blocking them. It is optics, not accomplishments that matter.

Lets see.

Obama was refuted in the general elections in large part due to the illegal alien issue. Secondarily due to Obamacare.

So those bastards Boehner and McConnell are pushing a bill which will give him everything he wants on both issues. Everything.

Not to mention approving ANOTHER piece of legislation which effectively nullifies the Second Amendment.

FURTHER, Boner et al introduced a section in this bill which increases the amount of money individual contributors can provide to these fiends as campaign contributions. THAT is not a victory for free speech OR conservatism.

The BIG donors - the corporate donors - which are, for the most part LIBERAL - check them out - the Buffets, the Gates, the Soroses, the Goldman-sachses, contribute heavily to the Democrat Party and secondarily to INCUMBENTS. As a matter of fact, a recent survey showed that nearly without exception every lobbying group ALWAYS contributes heavily to incumbents. Challengers are too much of an iffy thing and they want to hold on to their influence with government contracts and special perks,

So what does all of this mean?

Despite a clear mandate for a new conservative direction, that sleaze-ball Boner and his buddy McConnell have collaborated with Obama and the Democrat leadership to give them everything they want, as well as assure they can continue occupying their very lucrative positions as long as they live.

The worst thing about the mid-term election was the re-election of these two d****e-bags.

Hear that? Its the sound of them laughing - AT US.

Oh I know they’ll be back. Why they will be ALLOWED back is another story. They should be hounded mercilessly by all of us since they helped create the environment that caused this to happen.

They took an active role in spreading the lesser evil meme far beyond FR. Lurkers read it, acted on it, and ultimately voted for the RINOs coming in Jan.

The blame rests largely on them for empowering evil.

"Not to mention approving ANOTHER piece of legislation which effectively nullifies the Second Amendment" Should read: "Not to mention approving ANOTHER piece of legislation which effectively nullifies the Fourth Amendment"
